Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Provide expertise on continuous process improvement strategies, organization redesign, change management projects, and performance measures for basic business process engagements • Define and develop business processes, policies, roles and responsibilities, and performance metrics • Conduct analysis of business processes, including (1) current state analysis, (2) gap analysis, (3) benchmarking, (4) best practices identification, (5) organizational assessment, and (6) other related tasks • Plan and implement process improvements, including (1) future state design, (2) change management, and (3) transition planning • Interface with all project areas, including (1) customer, (2) computer services, and (3) client services • Provide oversight into the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance and performance quality • Provide expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and/or governmental regulations, and agency guidelines to ensure compliance • Work with operating entities to provide continuous process analyses oversight to enforce requirements and meet guidelines • Coordinate with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements • Conduct client interviews • Deliver presentations and training courses on measurement, analysis, improvement, and control • Perform cost benefit analysis • Establish goals to meet outline objectives • Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidelines • Ensure that objectives have been met prior to review by management • Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors • Ensure solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives • Independently determine and develop approach to solutions • Select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions • Translate technical information into business language for non-technical stakeholders • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders • Lead and mentor junior analysts and team members Required Skills and Experience • A complete understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field • A proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects • Expertise in eliciting and documenting business requirements, business processes, and workflows • Proficiency in creating functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams • Experience with business modeling techniques and tools (e.g., UML, BPMN) • Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar • Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall) • Proficiency in using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau) • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills • Experience managing and coordinating cross-functional project teams Professional CertificationsNone requiredYears of Professional ExperienceFive (5) or more years of experience in business analysis or a related roleDesired experienceElectronic Data Interchange X.12 (EDI) Medical Claims • X.12 medical claims (837, 834, 277, etc) Advanced certifications such as (1) Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), (2) Project Management Professional (PMP), (3) Six Sigma Certification, and/or (4) Certified Scrum Master (CSM)Formal EducationBachelor's Degree or higher in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related fieldCitizenship RequirementU.S. Citizenship required for this specific opportunitySecurity Clearance RequirementsMust possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI)CRITICAL NOTES: • SSG will not make assumptions regarding your qualifications.
