The VizIX team within Decision Systems serves as a center of excellence for User Experience (UX) design, development, testing, and deployment for a wide range of defense and intelligence programs throughout STR. The Role: You will join a tight-knit team highly skilled in interactive UX and data visualization design, implementation, testing, and deployment. You will oversee a novel UI/UX application effort through stages of design, implementation, and demonstration. This role will be hybrid with around 25% of time required in either our Woburn, MA or Arlington, VA office. Specific responsibilities include: Develop efficient and high-performance components for data visualization and user interaction, ensuring a seamless experience even with large datasets. Optimize applications for speed and responsiveness across a variety of devices and browsers. Deliver intuitive user-centric and data-centric user interfaces for mission-focused first-of-its-kind engineering solutions Communicate with the project team, users, and clients to develop and document requirement Implement containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes to enhance application portability, scalability, and deployment efficiency. Assist in the authorship of software documentation such as user training guides Collaborate across numerous programs and divisions within the company Be adaptable and passionate about continuous learning. Who You Are: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience 5+ years’ experience with JavaScript, CSS, CSS extension languages (LESS, Sass), CSS preprocessor tools, HTML5 and its best practices. Demonstrated expertise with at least two of: React, Redux, Flask, Django, Node, Vue. Demonstrated expertise with at least one other back-end programming language (Python, Java, .Net, JavaScript) and willingness to learn more. Demonstrated expertise with Geolocation & Mapping such as Google Maps API, OpenStreetMap, or other mapping solutions. Proficiency with Git version control and Able to work independently and as part of a team. USCitizen with ability to obtain a security clearance. A Principal Program Manager is accountable for the ultimate success of the product and is responsible for ensuring that what is developed and delivered to customers is operationally valuable. In this role, a Program Manager will be expected to demonstrate: 1) expertise on the customer's challenges, desires, workflows, and acquisition processes, 2) expertise on the product and the leveraged technologies, 3) understanding of STR's business and the role the product plays, and 4) deep knowledge of the market and industry, including trends, customer expectations and competition. The Program Management role requires creativity and strong intellectual curiosity in applying new technologies to solve customer problems. Because the technologies we bring to market often represent the state of the art and may involve process changes, additional key skills for the Program Manager include persistence and strong communication to drive cross-functional collaboration. Finally, as the Program Manager is a key role within the Intelligence Division, they will play an important part in a variety of additional functions including business strategy, business development, and growing the team.
