The schedule for this opening is Monday – Friday, 8-hour day shift between the hours of 9:00AM-5:30PM. The hourly pay rate for this opportunity is Duties The Warehouse Assistant I prepares, ships, and receives customer product ensuring proper documentation. May perform the duties of Material Handler. Ability to train and substitute leadership if the supervisor is not present. • Receives Customer product through acceptance or unloading shipping container; processes all applicable documentation in an accurate manner. • Warehouses incoming Customer product by transferring product to unprocessed storage area in a safe manner. • Maintains an organized dock area through controlling the trailer storage area. • Prepares product for shipment by retrieving Customer product from processed area and staging shipping area; prepares accurate shipping documentation; loads product into shipping container or transfers small packages to delivery service. • Ensures shipment of product within shipping deadline by maintaining contact with Customer transportation personnel and with vendor and internal facility staff. • Contributes to maintaining a safe and clean working environment by performing routine area housekeeping and reporting any unsafe conditions to facility management. • Contributes to efficient processing operations by assisting Material Handlers as needed. • Contributes in a team effort by performing according to the guidelines outlined in the STERIS Code of Business Conduct, the GMP and other directives. • Communicates in an effective manner by utilizing accepted business practices in a courteous and professional manner to provide timely and accurate responses and service oriented offers of assistance. • Protects company confidential information by properly storing, retrieving and disseminating such information only to those authorized. • Supports the STERIS AST business imperatives of Growth, Operational Excellence, Leadership Excellence and Customer Focus, by acting with integrity, treating everyone with mutual respect, exhibiting a genuine commitment to the success of all employees, and delivering satisfaction to our Customers through teamwork, innovation and continuous improvement; this will be accomplished while acting safely and is defined as "The STERIS Way." • Exhibits a commitment to the STERIS AST shared values of Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement through ensuring defect-free workmanship, assisting others to meet the customer’s needs, searching for efficient and effective ways to reduce waste, being active and accountable for customer satisfaction, and satisfying the customer’s needs with a sense of urgency. Position Summary The Vice President, Operations is responsible for leading multiple complex and efficient instrument processing facilities to ensure processing of quality products and services that meet all internal and external requirements. Each location operates independently, and the position encompasses oversight of operations as well as leadership of support functions such as facilities, supply chain, quality, continuous improvement, finance, and human resources at each site. The Vice President of Operations will develop and execute strategies that meet stakeholder and Customer needs while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This individual collaborates directly with business and operations leaders to establish operating strategies, align objectives and KPIs, evaluate each location’s performance, proactively manage risk, and maintain a culture of accountability. Operational Excellence, HSE, and Continuous Improvement • Drive successful operations of designated instrument processing locations/areas of responsibility with a focus on Safety, Sustainability, Quality, Cost, and Delivery while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and strategies in alignment with company standards of operational excellence. • Drive operational excellence by implementing advanced quality management systems and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that 99% of all operational processes meet or exceed industry standards and Customer expectations. • Day-to-day leadership of the operational businesses. • Lead and hold Operations leaders accountable for meeting or exceeding operational performance linked to Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Contributes to the KPI process for other functions. • Foster and promote a safety culture and work environment consistent with OSHA, EPA and other applicable in-country and company standards. What You Will Do As Vice President, Operations, continued: Communication and Collaboration • Regularly communicate with, align with, and support Corporate shared functions (e.g. Quality, Regulatory, Business Transformation/CI, Human Resources, Finance, IT, etc.) in the development and implementation of short-term and long-term plans to meet business objectives. • Collaborate and communicate with, on an ongoing basis, key business leaders and stakeholders regarding status on facility performance, initiatives, special projects and other key actions that could potentially impact on Customer delivery, safety, quality, cost, or morale. • Identifying opportunities to further extend existing Customer contracts with the development of new products and services. Position Summary The Materials Supervisor works in the warehouse and production facility to manage all aspects of the material flow, control, and accuracy over inventories. This includes daily receipt, stocking, inventorying, storing, pulling, packing, and processing of goods to both internal/external customers. The Materials Supervisor is also responsible for the initiation and maintenance of standard work and other departmental procedures to achieve inventory integrity while also improving the Materials Group's overall Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives.
