The Role As a Customer Success Manager at Stellic, you will drive customer success and retention by cultivating deep, trusted relationships with our partners. You will ensure institutions realize maximum value from Stellic by promoting high product adoption, facilitating seamless renewals, and serving as a strategic voice of the customer internally. Your impact will be measured by customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue expansion. Within your first year, you will develop deep product and industry expertise, becoming a trusted advisor to our partners and internal teams, helping shape product and partnership strategies. What You'll Do • Relationship Management: Become an effective point of contact for institutions. Build and cultivate deep, trusted, and transparent relationships with our Partners, exceeding their expectations during every phase of the customer lifecycle. • Value Realization: Establish clear Partner retention and success goals, including high product adoption and high platform utilization, and own delivery of those goals. Increase product NPS from 50 to 80. Identify potential opportunities for upsell which increases the impact on campus. • Thought Partnership: Be a strategic "voice of the customer" thought-partner for our internal teams (product, marketing, sales) to recognize potential improvements for Stellic's Product and Partnership experience. • Partner Training: Get high NPS and adoption from training across diverse roles (advisors, registrar). Creating training courses and educational materials. • 100% Renewals: Own renewals for your partners end-to-end. We're looking for technical leaders who can evolve our backend systems and up-level the team to delight our users with new product capabilities. What You'll Do Drive alignment on the prioritization of engineering-driven priorities along side product priorities Design and lead the implementation of scalable backend architectures for mission-critical enterprise applications Build and maintain clean, ergonomic APIs to handle complex business logic and data flows Develop and optimize database schemas and queries to process terabytes of data efficiently Identify and introduce abstractions to increase the performance and reliability of our systems Drive engineering excellence by defining and mentoring on best practices, design patterns, and code quality. Ensure quality by designing robust testing strategies and implementing suites of reliable tests Who You Are 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer operating at scale Strong ownership mindset and the ability to autonomously lead and drive complex implementations Deep curiosity, customer empathy, and commitment to engineering as a craft Ability to plan, estimate, and manage the technical aspects of project execution and delivery Excellent problem-solving skills Desire to mentor junior developers Clear and effective communication skills for collaborating with product, design, and customer-facing teams Deep experience with backend engineering using high-level programming languages and frameworks -- ORMs, RESTful APIs, background jobs, real-time streaming, etc. Strong proficiency in designing and optimizing SQL databases and complex SQL queries (PostgreSQL a plus) Experience with asynchronous / event-based architectures Strong background in API design, documentation, and versioning strategies Solid understanding of software testing, CI/CD practices, observability, etc. Our Tech Stack While we plan on introducing new technologies and capabilities, and potentially migrating away from current ones, here is the general shape of our current stack: Languages: Python, SQL, Shell Frameworks: Django, Angular, React, Remix, Databases: PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Redis Version control: Git (GitHub) Cloud: AWS Deployment: AWS CodeDeploy Observability & Analytics: Sentry, Grafana, Prometheus, PostHog, Metabase Both single and multi-tenant architecture Why Join Stellic?
