We are seeking an Executive Assistant to support multiple principals leading our catalyst and place-based work at the Stand Together Foundation. You enjoy being part of a team that supports one another and finds fulfillment by helping others achieve success. How You Will Contribute • Provide calendar management. With a high level of attention to detail, prioritize a high volume of inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts for key leaders and the broader team. Make judgements on time and recommendations grounded in strategic priorities and with a win-win mentality to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements. • Provide general administrative support. Provide light event support, ad-hoc project coordination, as well as general admin related tasks such as reconciling receipts and executing expense reports on behalf of the leaders. • Own and contribute to team and organizational projects and operational improvements as needed. Proactively seek, share, and apply knowledge to spot opportunities and deliver innovative, entrepreneurial solutions in fast-paced environments with limited direction. • Meeting preparation and participation. Assemble meeting agendas, record meeting minutes and notes, and oversee A/V needs and action items. • Identify areas to increase efficiency and innovate to improve administrative processes. Seek opportunities to help the administrative team support the organization’s goals more effectively. Identify, learn, and teach new tools or techniques to elevate the level of support and partnership the team gives. What You Will Bring • 5+ years of professional experience in a support or administrative capacity • Experience in a high volume scheduling environment, strongly preferred • Astute attention to detail and drive to take initiative • Track record of follow-up and follow-through; high degree of reliability • Extremely organized, self-disciplined, and professional in demeanor • High degree of confidentiality, sound judgment, ability to think on your feet and problem solve while maintaining composure • Articulate and concise oral and written communication skills • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect. Assist with research and outreach activities related to budget and tax reform, including drafting blog posts, issue briefs, and op-eds. | Interest in public policy, attention to detail, analytical, research, and writing skills, and availability for virtual and in-person program sessions. | The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid, 12-week experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers meaningful work experience at non-profits all over the United States tackling some of our nation's most pressing challenges. Eligible candidates will be geographically located within the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S. through the duration of the program. Throughout your internship, you will gain meaningful professional experience at a partner organization and participate in professional development built around a 2-day, in-person summit hosted by Stand Together Fellowships at Stand Together's Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, supported by virtual programming that takes place every other Thursday between 1- 3:30 pm ET. Interns will receive either a $7,500 or $5,500 stipend from Stand Together Fellowships depending on whether they are participating full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time (24 hours/week). The programming provided by Stand Together Fellowships focuses on three objectives: 1. understanding the foundational principles of a free society such as individual liberty, limited government, free markets, and the rule of law; 2. learning the Stand Together community's vision for change and how a principled approach to problem solving can help address society's biggest challenges; and 3. presenting opportunities and pathways to build a career that advances liberty and free society. Successful candidates will interview with both our non-profit partner organizations and Stand Together Fellowships staff, so we strongly encourage you to apply in advance! About National Taxpayers Union Foundation National Taxpayers Union Foundation is a non-partisan research and education organization dedicated to showing Americans how taxes, government spending, and regulations affect them. Through data collection, analysis, and commentary, we empower citizens to engage in the critical policy debates of our time and hold elected officials accountable. To educate our target audiences, we perform incisive research and analysis on a wide range of policy issues with a particular focus on tax, technology, interstate commerce, legislative scoring, and trade. We also have a newly launched public interest litigation project that has extended our work into the judicial sphere. About the Role The Associate Policy Analyst Intern will assist with Foundation research and outreach activities related to budget and tax reform. Responsibilities include tracking and responding to policy proposals in the form of blog posts, issue briefs, and op-ed drafting. This role is open to remote or onsite candidates.
