About the Role: Stack AV Site Reliability Engineers are responsible for enabling and ensuring our production systems meet their service-level objectives. Through the implementation of centralized observability and automation, the SRE team constantly ensures the health, reliability, scalability, and performance of Stack AV’s infrastructure. Members of the team are expected to contribute to a culture of continuous learning, provide consultation on architecting for high-availability, and ultimately drive the uptime and performance of our systems. Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain mission-critical production services to ensure maximum uptime. Design and implement scalable distributed systems to facilitate the development of self-driving vehicles. Design and implement an incident management framework and build a culture of blameless postmortems and continuous learning. Scale the reliability and velocity of our systems and processes through increased automation. Document actions to build a comprehensive library of runbooks, which will act as a knowledge base and foundation for automation. Participate in an on-call rotation to uphold the SLOs and SLAs of production services. Qualifications: Expertise in at least one scripting language (e.g. Bash, Python). Fundamental understanding of Linux operating system internals, TCP/IP networking, and storage subsystems. Experience scaling and securing services in the cloud (AWS, GCP) or cloud native environments. Experience using infrastructure-as-code principles to automate the creation of infrastructure resources (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation). Understanding of engineering design limitations and ability to provide guidance to teams to scale their services to achieve desired performance within budget. Strong experience implementing and debugging cloud native and open source tools such as Kubernetes, etcd, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Istio. About the Role: In the Compute Platform team, our mission is to provide the foundational compute platform that powers large-scale autonomous systems development. The team is responsible for enabling engineers and researchers to efficiently run compute and data intensive workloads on Stack AV infrastructure. The Data Platform team is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the Stack AV on-premises data platform. The team supports large scale OLAP/OLTP and feature engineering workloads for multiple Product Development groups across the company. You will work at the intersection of infrastructure, distributed systems, and developer experience–ensuring that our critical services and pipelines are reliable, efficient, and easy to run. As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will design and operate high scale data systems that power engineers across the company. Responsibilities: Design and operate distributed storage systems for scheduling and executing large-scale batch workloads. Build and maintain an open source, modern data platform. Optimize utilization of storage resourcesImprove reliability and fault tolerance of large-scale storage systems and data platform components. Collaborate with teams across the company to understand workload requirements and improve platform capabilities. Contribute to platform tooling, automation, and CI/CD workflows. Qualifications: 7+ years of experience building and operating distributed storage systems or modern data platforms. Experience operating streaming platforms such as Kafka or Pulsar. Fluent in Python, and SQL, with experience writing and maintaining highly available data applications using Trino and Apache Spark. Knowledge of table formats (Iceberg, Delta Lake, Hudi, Xtable). About the Role: The AI Data Infrastructure team sits between Stack’s data and its engineers. We provide tooling and infrastructure to process petabytes of data per month into actionable insights for ML and autonomy engineers. In particular, we provide data pipelines to run tasks on new data, services and frontend to search for data, and tooling to stream and transform data in our various data storage mediums. Data Processing: we are building state of the art infrastructure to support our scaling fleet and ML engineering needs. For this role, you would be responsible for ensuring our processing pipelines are customer friendly, fault tolerant and performant. Data Search: we provide our end users with a platform that combines searching across our metadata stores, vector database, and parts of our data warehouse and then visualize the data (think YouTube). You would be coming in and working with ML and autonomy stakeholders to improve the reliability of the pipelines that feed into our search platform. Data Lineage: we are getting started with building our data lineage system that will track the usage of all data at Stack. You would work with our stakeholders to ensure our system is widely adopted and address customer pain points. Responsibilities: Architect data processing pipelines that handle multimodal (video, point cloud, audio, text) data for a wide base of customers. Manage core libraries used by the entire company for data transformations and processing. Build low latency/high throughput, fault tolerant batch or stream processing systems. Build scalable backend services for data search and data curation systems. Write high quality Python, SQL and Golang code. Qualifications: Experience building and managing data platforms for multimodal ML needs. Proven track record of building scalable, reliable infrastructure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Experience building or using ML infrastructure for a large number of customer teams. Deep understanding of design trade-offs with the ability to articulate those trade-offs and achieve alignment with others. Experience in building ML models or infrastructure in domains such as autonomous vehicles, perception, and decision-making (desirable but not required). Responsibilities: Develop scalable and maintainable visualization solutions. Develop complex 2D and 3D visualization tools using React, TypeScript, Three.js, and React Three Fiber. Integrate visualization components with backend systems and data sources. Debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues in visualization applications. Collaborate with product managers, designers, operations personnel and other engineers to define requirements and develop solutions. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Qualifications: 3+ years of professional software development experience. Experience developing data intensive JavaScript + TypeScript applications. Experience with React.
