Long Description Project Summary This role will be a dual-purpose role to support the EP&ES Supply Chain department. The project will be to enhance our Produce Life Cycle (PLC) to include all departments and to create a true process flow. This role will also assist in the resolution to invoice & receiving discrepancies (GRIR & MRBR). This individual must be a self-starter, be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, have the ability to proactively identify problems and propose effective solutions, and have excellent communication and analytical skills. Description of Responsibilities Review current PLC process & create documentation. Meet with various departments within EP&ES to better understand their needs pertaining to the PLC. Design a PLC process flow & document. Conduct training on the new PLC process. Work with Purchasing to assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and receiving discrepancies. Identify opportunities to reduce invoices and receiving discrepancies in the future. Qualifications and Experience Requirements Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in sustainability, engineering, science, business, or related field. Must have Strong organization, planning and analytical skills. Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. The BI Visualization Intern will support dashboard development, testing, and documentation while learning how enterprise BI teams operate in a structured environment. Responsibilities • Road occupancy permits: Preparing, submitting, recording and producing reports for each respective municipality, both remote or in person as required by the individual municipality. • Inventory: Maintaining local inventory reports. Assisting in inventory counts, reordering equipment. • Subcontractor Work Data Verification: Organizing, filing, and data entry. Verification of crew data entry to field reports. Identifying, communicating, and resolving discrepancies. • Customer asset spreadsheets: maintain segment spreadsheets with data entered by Novinium crews in company database: filing and organizing of subcontractor daily time sheets. • Submitting Notice of Project for Ministry of Labour for each Work Order. • Working with subcontractors to obtain completed Form 1000 notices (subcontractor’s registration to work for Novinium/constructor) • Work with Team Leads to obtain outage schedules and work with subcontractor to deliver outage notices to customer (Novinium to print and arrange notices). • Working with subcontractor in applying for locates for each Work Order/Area. • Manage and arrange training specific to Ontario (Electrical Utility Safety Rules, Traffic Book 7, Utility Work Protection Code, First Aid/CPR, etc.). • Manage and arrange scheduling for testing equipment and PPE as per local regulations. • All other duties as assigned.
