Work with Operations with Continuous Measurable Improvement (CMI) at the intersection of all customer and operational processes for the good of both parties. Work with drivers to ensure the highest level of involvement in sales and marketing programs. Review results to determine where future 60-day plan adjustments might be needed. Utilize business intelligence sales dashboards within Tableau to make data driven decisions. Identify non-asset based transportation solutions for customers that are a fit for eShipping Exchange. Develop business partnerships with customers that are aligned with the culture of the Company. For this position, a minimum of 1 year of experience in sales or management is required. Prepare, sweep, inspect and cleans trailer(s) before loading freight. Use safe lifting techniques to properly load and unload freight. Select and use proper freight handling equipment to load and unload freight. Such equipment may include forklifts with appropriate hardware, hand trucks, drum trucks, pallet jacks, rollers, and any other available equipment to move, load, arrange, rearrange, and unload freight. Plan cube utilization and proper weight distribution when loading freight. Count and inspect the condition of freight, documenting any shortages or damage. Review freight bills for special instructions. Check manifests for existing exceptions and check the label and the destination code on manifests against freight bills. Check for special instructions, weight distributions on headloads, and check headloads against the freight bills when loading freight. Verify the hazardous material product description, determine any discrepancies in the paperwork, and verify proper placarding when loading hazardous material. Properly block and brace freight to prevent shifting during transport. For this role, we prefer youhave a High School Diploma or GED. Oversee dock operations, supervise dock associates, ensure timely shipment routing and loading, maintain loss prevention, and manage warehouse layout and workflow. | High school diploma or GED, minimum 2 years dock or leadership experience, or completion of Southeastern's Management Training Program. | As an Inbound Dock Supervisor you would oversee dock operations, as well as, supervise and coordinate the activities of dock associates assigned to the dock and/or yard. You would also oversee the routing of shipments and loading/unloading of freight. Establish necessary Control to ensure that Pickup & Delivery (P&D) units are closed at agreed-upon times and special customer requests are handled on time every time. Ensure inbound close-out is made to ensure timeliness. Responsible for P&D loading. This includes the amount of stops, amount of weight, and conditions of load where P&D Drivers meet the requirements of error-free work. Responsible for practicing an effective loss prevention plan in the Service Center, through combined efforts of Service Center personnel, cargo claims/loss prevention or designee, and using process improvement as the method of development and execution. Maintain responsibility and accountability for integrity of P&D loads originating at the Service Center with a commitment towards continuous measurable improvement. Plan layout of warehouse and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored. Determine work procedures, prepare work schedule, and expedites workflow. Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Responsible for maintaining attention on any significant risks and implementing adequate Control.
