Reporting directly to the President of Sound Long Term Care Management, this executive role will drive our value-based care initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals for clinical excellence, cost efficiency, and patient outcomes. The SVP will oversee network strategy and performance management to enhance the impact of risk-based contracts such as Accountable Care Organizations across the continuum of care. This position is ideal for a visionary leader with deep expertise in healthcare strategy, network management, and ACO operations, who thrives in a collaborative, physician-led environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Strategic Leadership and Network Development: Develop and execute long-term strategies for ACO network growth, including market expansion, provider engagement, and partnership contracts. Identify opportunities to build interconnected networks that ensure treatment continuity and leverage data for improved care coordination. • Performance Optimization: Identify and lead opportunities for improved performance in risk-based arrangements around cost savings and utilization rates. Identify opportunities for data-driven initiatives to achieve targets such as reducing ED visits, hospital admissions, and short-term hospitalizations, building on our track record of multimillion-dollar Medicare savings. Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives in collaboration with finance. • Network Strategy: Evaluate network adequacy and develop tooling for network monitoring. Address challenges in network expansion while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with organizational values. Collaborate with Growth Team on optimizing and implementing network strategies including expansion of the business through new product offerings • Contracting: Negotiate contracts with providers, vendors and payers using data-driven insights and contract analysis related to due diligence. Periodically review contracts to ensure strategic focus is on target and identify opportunities for adjustments. • Data and Analytics Integration: Oversee analysis of claim trend data and market information. Partner with internal teams and external collaborators (e.g., data infrastructure providers like WellStack) to modernize data systems, enabling advanced decision-making and transparency in operations. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with physician leaders, clinical performance nurses, physician advisors, and executive teams to foster a culture of accountability and innovation. Support partners in other Sound service lines in achieving efficiencies and value through ACO integration. • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Sound Physicians in external forums, including industry associations, regulatory bodies, and potential partners, to advance our ACO's mission and influence healthcare policy. • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing team focused on ACO strategy and operations, promoting professional development and alignment with Sound's core values. Education and Experience • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field required. • 10-15 years in healthcare leadership, with at least 5 years in senior executive roles focused on ACOs, value-based care, or network strategy. Proven track record in managing large-scale networks, achieving cost savings, and improving clinical outcomes in a multispecialty or hospital-based setting. • Experience with government programs (e.g., MSSP, BPCI) and data analytics platforms is essential. The Details: This is a full-time, 6-month contract role, with the potential for extension. In this role, you will be responsible for: Project Leadership & Execution • Lead, plan, and execute cross-functional business, technology, and process improvement projects from initiation to completion. • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, roadmaps, and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. • Ability to apply project management methodologies and practices, including developing a project plan, charter, scope, project management approach and management plans, such as the statement of work, cost estimates, and schedule. • Manage project scope, risks, dependencies, and deliverables, proactively identifying and resolving roadblocks and escalating accordingly. Stakeholder Management • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across teams. • Work closely with business leaders, technology teams, and process owners to align project objectives with organizational goals. • Facilitate executive-level discussions and provide data-driven insights for decision-making. • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers, ensuring contractual obligations and SLAs are met when applicable.
