The Regional Director of Operations -North Central will be responsible for business unit financial performance and achievement of budgeted unit growth, Net Revenue, Cost of Service and EBITDA for assigned practices working together with the Regional VP of the Region. Responsible for directing, developing, implementing, and administering effective leadership, operational strategies and tactics, and staffing plans ensuring the achievement of the organization’s goals and objectives are aligned with the Anatomic Pathology (AP) division. Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for the successful management and operations of up to ten (10) practices across multiple states. Leads the Operations Managers, General Managers or other functional groups within assigned region across multiple states. Manages the recruitment, retention, training, orientation, discipline and evaluation of supervisory, clerical and technical associates in collaboration with Human Resources. Develops the employee engagement plan ensuring employees are motivated and productive together with management team. Organizes regular monthly staff meetings and routine physician management meetings. Duties & Responsibilities: Assists the RVP in the direction, development, and implementation of operational and organizational goals and objectives. Directs and oversees the day-to-day operations of assigned practices and establishes guidelines to prioritize work production, evaluate effectiveness, and improve the quality of services provided. Ensures AP operational Quality Assurance standards are being met within assigned region, and manages and measures AP productivity standards. Anticipates and monitors client satisfaction trends; and engages in marketing activities to develop and maintain relationships. Creates and maintains relationships within the medical community in collaboration with Sales to cultivate new business, and enhance the practice’s position in the marketplace. Routinely evaluates and monitors expenses for assigned practices by department and implements appropriate actions based on variance to trends and budgets. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing healthcare delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies. Professionally represents assigned practices in their relationships with healthcare organizations, government agencies, and third party payers. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration. MBA or MHA preferred. Minimum of seven (7) years’ managerial experience in laboratory administration and/or healthcare administration Licensure and Certifications: Adherence to CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, Safety, EPA and OSHA Regulations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of CAP: College of American Pathologists, healthcare administration and policies and operating procedures. Knowledge of P&L management, fiscal management systems and techniques. Knowledge of human resource management practices including supervision and staff development.
