Position Overview Located at our large molecule headquarters in RTP, North Carolina, the Sample Logistics Coordinator is the primary contact for Sample Management. The position will handle all incoming shipments of customer samples to verify, register, and track at our new facility for Large Molecule & Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMP) testing services in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) laboratory environment in Morrisville, NC. This is a fully onsite role. Critical Performance Areas • Manage receipt, labeling, storage, tracking, and shipments of customer samples either chemical or biological. • Ensure proper chain of custody and documentation for sample integrity. • Maintain sample records in LIMS. • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. Essential Job Functions • Coordinate sample management between labs, storage, and offsite stability company. • Work closely with lab analysts, project managers, and customers to meet timelines • Assist with sample reconciliation and preparation for audits and inspections. • Knowledge of sample handling procedures in a laboratory setting. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, IT). • Minimum 2 years of experience in sample logistics or sample management within a contract research or pharmaceutical environment. • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA) and quality management systems. • Ability to handle biohazardous materials and hazardous chemicals while following all safety protocols • GxP experience preferred Other Desired Skills/Abilities • Experience in a CRO/CDMO is strongly preferred. • Experience in a site start-up is strongly preferred. • Familiarity with LabWare LIMS (7 and/or 8) or other LIMS systems • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
