About The Role The Real Estate Counsel needs to be an agile lawyer capable of quarterbacking lease negotiations with many of the world’s largest REITs and other C&I property owners. You will focus on supporting project development in the renewable energy sector. You will play a key role in drafting and negotiating solar leases, SNDAs, easements, and memos of lease while providing critical legal advice to the Business Development team and leadership. This role requires a proactive legal professional who will thrive in a collaborative environment with numerous Solar Landscape departments, involving development, construction, financing, operation, and ownership of commercial and community solar assets. The role entails effectively balancing legal compliance, risk management, and Company business objectives. Responsibilities • Contract Drafting, Review & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate solar leases, subordination and non-disturbance agreements (SNDAs), easements, and memorandums of lease. Provide due diligence on real estate matters to ensure the successful development of solar projects. Identify and resolve title and survey issues impacting solar project sites. Collaborate across business units to assist during various points in a project life cycle (e.g., project financing and construction). • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to real estate and renewable energy development. Stay informed of evolving legal trends and changes impacting solar projects. • Other: Partner with the Business Development team to structure and close deals efficiently. Act as a trusted legal advisor to leadership, offering strategic insights on solar leases, project-specific considerations, and risk mitigation strategies. Research and report on novel issues that arise in new markets, including in relation to non-legal matters (e.g., assisting the policy and business development teams). Qualifications • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing. • 2+ years of relevant legal experience in real estate law, preferably with leasing experience and/or experience within the renewable energy sector. • Flexibility to work at Company Headquarters in Asbury Park as needed • Ability to balance business expectations with legal and regulatory compliance objectives efficiently. • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Adaptability and willingness to take on diverse responsibilities as the situation demands. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. About The Role Solar Landscape is hiring a Manager, Strategic Transactions (Commercial & Regulatory) to support the company's expansion into new markets and create innovative commercial structures across the United States by managing contractual and regulatory considerations across complex partnership transactions. As Solar Landscape works with key players across the energy landscape to unlock new pathways for distributed clean energy deployment, this role will sit at the intersection of legal, regulatory, and commercial execution. The Manager will help ensure that first-of-their-kind transaction structures are grounded in regulatory reality and contractual discipline while remaining flexible enough to support rapid market entry. Reporting directly to the Director, Strategic Transactions, this role is a core member of a small, senior execution team and offers direct exposure to new market development, novel transaction structures, and senior decision-making. This role will be based in the NY / NJ metro area and is expected to be in-office 3-4 days per week. Responsibilities • Transaction & Contract Support: Support review, negotiation, and execution of PPAs, framework agreements, development agreements, and other commercial contracts. Identify key contractual and regulatory risks embedded in transaction documents and surface them clearly to the deal team. Maintain contract issue trackers and support timely resolution of open items across internal and external stakeholders. • New Market & New Product Enablement: Support early-stage structuring of transactions in new markets and emerging product types. Work closely with the Policy team to understand regulatory and utility program frameworks and translate them into transaction-level implications. Help identify market-specific requirements, constraints, and execution risks relevant to deal design and negotiation. • Regulatory Interface: Serve as the primary execution-side interface with the internal Policy team. Apply regulatory guidance to live transactions and contractual structures. Ensure regulatory considerations are accurately reflected in agreements and internal decision-making. • External Counsel Management: Coordinate with external legal counsel to support efficient and focused contract review. Prepare issue summaries and targeted questions to maximize the value of outside counsel engagement. Review and synthesize counsel feedback for the transaction team. • Program Build & Knowledge Management: Support development of templates, precedent libraries, and internal playbooks for recurring contractual and regulatory issues. Capture lessons learned from executed transactions to improve future efficiency and scalability. Balance standardization with jurisdiction-specific nuance across markets. Qualifications • JD or equivalent legal training strongly preferred. • 3+ years of experience in energy law, regulatory affairs, project development, or commercial contracting. • Familiarity with renewable energy contracts and utility regulatory frameworks. • Strong business judgment and interest in operating on the commercial execution side of transactions. • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple complex workstreams simultaneously. $110,000 - $140,000 a year Salary will vary depending on your location and job-related skills and experience. About The Role We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the development and execution of solar projects across Maryland. This role will oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, procurement, construction management, scheduling, reporting, and risk mitigation. The Project Manager will provide both leadership and technical expertise, collaborating with internal teams, contractors, and local stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with Maryland regulations and incentive programs. Responsibilities • Plan, budget, manage, and complete PV projects of moderate complexity, or multiple projects of lesser complexity simultaneously. • Coordinate design and permitting activities with engineering team and local authorities. • Work with Safety Manager to develop Site Specific Health and Safety Plans and implement safety procedures. • Manage Quality Control and develop/implement Site Specific Quality Management Plan. • Develop construction schedules for assigned projects. • Solicit, negotiate, and execute subcontracts and purchase orders with timely delivery to support the project schedule. • Schedule and manage deliveries of materials and equipment. Maintain accurate receiving records and provide timely follow up to missing items, damaged goods, backorders, etc. • Plan, execute, and take responsibility for self-performed work and managing labor crews and subcontractors. Plan sequencing, crew-sizes, productivity goals, and monthly labor spend. • Execute work and track actual results, adjusting and refining forecasts to reflect actual production. • Trains Foremen on pre-planning, surveying, plan reading, productivity, efficiency, economical crew size, quality workmanship, and safety to ensure projects are expeditiously constructed. • Act as primary point of contact for Customers and Key Stakeholders while organizing and leading regular meetings. • Provide status reports to Senior Management on a regular basis, particularly regarding safety, quality, schedule, and cost forecasting. • Complete all job closeout procedures including AHJ inspections, interconnection, testing, documentation, Owner’s Engineer reviews, Independent Engineer reviews. • Manage, train, and supervise project team; act as mentor to younger employees to encourage professional growth and career development. • Support sales activities with estimates, contract review, and client communication. • Build trust and rapport with all Solar Landscape departments. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred. • 5+ years of experience in field construction management. • Strong leadership abilities. • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Dynamics 365 (or other construction management software), and Microsoft Project. • Deep understanding of rooftop, ground-mount, and carport commercial PV construction methods. • Knowledge of behind-the-meter and utility interconnections. • Familiarity with Purchase Orders, Subcontracts, PPA, EPC Contracts, and project accounting. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Detail-oriented and self-motivated. • Knowledge of construction safety requirements; OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred. • Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel to various job sites. • Ability to climb ladders and access building roofs. • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
