It's the infrastructure that makes true anywhere, anytime connectivity possible. When you join Skylo, you'll work at the intersection of three markets reshaping how the world stays connected: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT. Enabling people outdoors and critical workflows in the world's most remote places. This is a rare chance to work on technology that matters, at a company that's already proving it works About Skylo Skylo Technologies is the world’s first commercial, standards-based ‘direct-to-device’ satellite service operator. We connect standard smartphones, wearables, and IoT devices directly to existing satellites—eliminating global coverage blind spots without requiring custom hardware. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on technical proficiency, experience supporting a cross-continental distributed workforce, and a proven track record of incorporating modern AI tools to streamline IT workflows. How You Will Contribute Infrastructure Management: Own and scale Skylo’s global corporate IT footprint across multiple offices (US, Finland, India) and remote employees. Manage physical and virtual network infrastructure, SaaS applications, and company hardware. Security & Compliance: Partner with the InfoSec and Network Engineering teams to enforce rigid security policies, manage MDM solutions (e.g., Jamf, Kandji, Intune) for a mixed macOS/Windows environment, and ensure readiness for SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks. SaaS & Vendor Management: Evaluate, procure, and optimize Skylo's SaaS landscape (Slack, Jira/Confluence, GitHub, Zoom, etc.). Manage external vendor relationships, software renewals, and IT budgeting. Helpdesk & Support: Establish service level objectives (SLOs) for corporate IT tickets. Provide high-touch tier 1–3 technical support to global leadership and staff, remaining hands-on when troubleshooting complex hardware/software issues. AI Integration: Actively discover and fold generative AI capabilities and automated IT ticketing agents into daily operations to maximize self-service and IT team productivity. Disaster Recovery: Formulate, document, and test comprehensive data backup and business continuity plans for both cloud environments and regional office networks. What We Look For Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 6+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in an IT Lead or Managerial capacity within a fast-paced technology or telecommunications startup environment. System Environments: Extensive experience administering mixed-OS environments, with an emphasis on corporate macOS fleets via MDM, and cloud-first operations (Google Workspace/Enterprise). Networking: Strong foundational knowledge of corporate enterprise networking (Firewalls, VPNs, Zero Trust Network Access, VLANs, Wi-Fi 6). Methodologies: Deep proficiency using Agile project management tools like JIRA to manage hardware rollouts and infrastructure sprints. Mindset: Active habit of using AI workflows to solve manual automation tasks. High accountability and strong communication skills to manage cross-functional needs between Engineering, Finance, and HR. Nice-to-Haves Prior experience in a telecom, MNO, or cloud-infrastructure company (understanding of cellular/satellite ecosystem data-handling is a major plus). Certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, AWS/GCP Cloud Practitioner, or Okta Certified Administrator. Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python) for automating API workflows across SaaS applications. EEO Statement Skylo is an equal-opportunity employer and we celebrate diversity.
