Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo The Senior Manager of Business Development is a driven and results-oriented professional responsible for supporting revenue growth through the development and management of partnerships with global carriers and the identification of new business opportunities within the Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) services and IoT sectors. This individual will play a key role in securing strategic alliances, penetrating new regions, and establishing the company as a leader in the evolving landscape of satellite-enabled connectivity and NB IoT solutions. This role requires a highly motivated self-starter with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills. How You Will Contribute Support the identification, cultivation, and management of strategic partnerships with global carriers, satellite operators, and technology providers in the NTN and IoT space. Assist in negotiating and managing partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with partners to drive joint go-to-market strategies. Assist in the identification, qualification, and pursuit of new business opportunities in the NTN services sector. Support the execution of the business development strategy focused on expanding the company's presence in satellite-enabled connectivity solutions. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target industries. Assist in the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities within the IoT market, focusing on satellite-enabled connectivity solutions with existing and prospective MVNO partners. Develop a strong understanding of customer needs and market trends in the IoT space. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver tailored IoT solutions. Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments in the NTN, IoT, and global carrier markets. Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute channel promotions and events. Up to 30% of travel What We Look For Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, telecommunications, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the telecommunications, satellite, or IoT industries. Demonstrated success in supporting the development and management of large enterprise partnerships. Understanding of NTN technologies, satellite communication systems, and IoT applications a plus Experience in supporting negotiations and closing deals. Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Skylo’s direct-to-device service is now live on millions of activated devices across five continents, with more than 60 million square kilometers of coverage, in partnership with multiple satellite operators, mobile network operators (MNOs), Tier-1 chipset makers, and OEMs. Devices connected over satellite are managed and served by Skylo's commercial NTN vRAN, featuring a 3GPP standards-based cloud-native base station and core. Skylo provides anywhere, anytime connectivity solution that seamlessly roams between terrestrial and satellite networks. Our focus is on enabling connected services for people outdoors and connected workflows across three main verticals: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT. This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States. Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo The Manager, Strategic Finance will support the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic opportunities to accelerate Skylo’s growth. This role will assist in due diligence, financial analysis, and integration planning, while contributing to companies long term planning and investor relations. The ideal candidate has corporate development or transaction experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Role and Responsibilities Market Strategy & Vertical Expansion Conduct in-depth market research on potential M&A targets, competitors, and industry trends within the New Space/satellite sector. Build and maintain competitive landscaping reports and identify white space opportunities for inorganic growth. Financial Modeling & Valuation Develop and scale long-term planning models that forecast multi-year contract revenue and simulate various strategic investment scenarios. Design, build, and manage complex three-statement financial models for target companies or partnerships, including projections, synergy analysis, and sensitivity testing. Develop robust valuation analyses, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), comparable company analysis (public and private), and precedent transaction analysis. Perform accretion/dilution analysis and other financial impact assessments for proposed transactions. Investor Relations & Due Diligence Own the development of ongoing reporting and strategic materials for the Board of Directors and Investors, translating complex operational data into clear strategic insights. Support the execution of financial, commercial, and operational due diligence efforts, coordinating requests and tracking information flow with internal teams and external advisors (bankers, legal counsel, consultants). Structure and prepare detailed transaction presentations, investment memoranda, and summaries for executive review and Board approval. Experience and Requirements Experience: 5+ of progressive experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or a similar strategic role. Minimum of 2+ years directly involved in M&A transaction execution (from sourcing to close) within a corporate development function. Demonstrated experience in the satellite, aerospace, defense, or deep tech sectors is highly preferred. Candidates with a strong understanding of complex hardware/software systems and long development cycles will be prioritized. Experience at a high-growth startup is a significant plus. Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. MBA from a top-tier institution is highly preferred. Skills: Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills with a strong understanding of accounting principles. Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport at all levels. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Self-starter with a proactive attitude and a strong sense of ownership.
