Oversee cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance operations to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance in a hospitality environment. | Minimum 3-5 years management experience in environmental or custodial services, with project management experience, and ability to obtain necessary licensing. | Summary: The Environmental Services (EVS) Manager is responsible for overseeing the cleaning, sanitation, and upkeep of the Silver Reef Casino to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for visitors and staff. Primary Responsibilities: The EVS Manager is responsible for conducting quality checks, maintaining a standard of professionalism and ensuring staff members do the same. They will ensure the successful operation and management of the EVS Department, and maintain high standards of cleanliness for the overall property and administrative support areas, through efficient supervision, scheduling, direction, inspection and training. Qualifications: • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in environmental or custodial services, preferably in a hospitality setting. Minimum 1 year project management experience. Licensing Requirements: • Qualify and obtain in good standing a Class III Gaming License • Submit to a Washington State Gaming Commission background check. • Submit to a fingerprint criminal background check, as required by the National Indian Gaming Commission and the Lummi Tribal Gaming Agency. Essential Job Functions: Leadership and Management: • Supervise, train, and oversee department staff. Personnel responsibilities include hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. • Create shift schedule for department. • Schedule and assign daily tasks to ensure all areas of the facility are properly cleaned and maintained. • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, policies, and procedures. • Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff members. • Maintain positive relationships with vendors, contractors, city inspectors, EMS, and above all, our guests. • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to environmental services. Operational Oversight: • Develop and implement cleaning protocols and schedules to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the property. • Monitor the quality of services provided and conduct inspections to ensure compliance and adherence to departmental standards. • Develop and implement safety protocols to protect staff and facility occupants. • Manage inventory levels, including ordering and maintaining supplies, equipment, and chemicals. • Monitor the quality of services provided by conducting frequent inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements. • Analyze cleaning procedures and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery. Compliance and Safety: • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards, infection control protocols, and waste management policies. • Conduct training on safety procedures, proper use of cleaning equipment, and handling of hazardous materials. • Address and resolve safety concerns or issues related to the EVS department promptly. Budget Management: • Develop and manage the EVS department budget, including labor costs, supplies, and payroll. • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service standards. • Manage shift schedules and time off requests. • Responsible for department payroll processing. Customer Service: • Respond promptly to requests and complaints from staff, patients, and visitors regarding cleaning services. • Foster a positive environment that supports patient satisfaction and overall facility image. Physical and Mental Requirements: • Physical requirements include bending, crawling, stooping, standing, lifting, and walking. • Must be able to load and unload boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. • Mental requirements include, but are not limited to, learning new tasks, remembering processes, maintaining focus, completing tasks independently, making timely decisions in the context of a workflow, the ability to communicate with visitors, the ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota. Requirements: • Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment • Must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner • Must be able to adhere to process protocol • Self-motivated. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong attention to detail and adherence to processes. • Proficiency in budgeting and inventory management. • Comfortable with regular exposure to cleaning chemicals, noise, cigarette smoke, inclement weather, etc. • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
