You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest quality standards, lead supplier qualifications, and resolve non-conformance issues - all while developing strong working relationships with global suppliers to support business continuity and product excellence. How You'll Make an Impact • Lead product and process qualification (PPQ) activities at supplier sites. • Manage and resolve quality issues related to non-conforming supplier components identified at Siemens Energy Aero-Derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) facilities, warehouses, or customer locations. • Oversee root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured problem-solving techniques. • Audit existing and potential suppliers to assess manufacturing capability and ensure robust quality systems are in place. • Drive supplier development to meet current and future product quality and manufacturing requirements, investigate and address manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to maintain delivery performance and mitigate risks. • Identify and support cost reduction opportunities in partnership with the Strategic Business and Supply Chain teams. Contribute to product manufacturing improvement through regular on-site presence at supplier locations What You Bring • Bachelor's degree in quality, mechanical, electrical engineering or in a related field. • 5+ years of experience working with or within manufacturing facilities and on critical components (e.g. discs, shafts, complex assemblies) or in a related role. • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management systems (e.g. ISO9001), and inspection methodologies. • Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with engineering teams to ensure component manufacturability. Proven ability to manage multiple complex investigations and supplier quality issues from start to finish. • Experience with root cause analysis tools and quality improvement methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa. Support claim negotiations as needed. • Coordinate domestic / international shipments and support the customs clearance group to provide accurate supplier documentation. What You Bring • Must have a Bachelor's Degree (engineering / supply chain preferred) plus 3 + years of experience, OR if no degree, equivalent experience; a Master's degree in an engineering / supply chain and a minimum of 1 year of experience is also preferred. • Experience managing high value purchases in an engineered-to-order business environment is preferred . • Proficient with SAP MM modules, MS Office suite, etc. is preferred. • Basic understanding of contractual purchasing terms and conditions, and its application. • Ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level with changing priorities. • Ability to travel 10% of the time (Domestic / International) as required. Assess, repair, and maintain manufacturing and facilities equipment, document maintenance actions, and assist in training technicians. | High school diploma or GED, 5+ years electro-mechanical maintenance experience, strong electrical and mechanical skills, ability to read schematics and operate shop machinery. | A Snapshot of Your Day You will assess, fix, and repair manufacturing and facilities equipment issues. Will be researching technical data, procuring parts, performing hands-on repairs, and assisting in the coordination of contractor support as needed in the Gibsonton Florida location. How You'll Make an Impact Demonstrating "Safety First/Safety Always" attitude and work habits in all aspects of job performance and performing job duties to the highest quality standards possible. What You Bring High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required (associate degree, Trade School or Online Maintenance Coursework Certificate and/or Military Technical Training preferred) Strong electrical skills and ability to effectively use electrical test equipment such as multi-meters, meggers or other specialized test equipment (as required) and be able to confidently read and interpret electrical prints and schematics (*PLC programming, robotics, and vacuum systems experience is a plus) Must be mechanically inclined and possess the ability to use all standard tools of the trade; including but not limited to basic hand and machine tools, various test equipment (as required), and be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and prints, as well as demonstrate the ability to safely and effectively operate basic shop machinery such as presses, grinders, lathes, mills, and others. 5 or more years of experience working in and around electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment and visual acuity to inspect equipment, read labels and documentation and physical ability to stand for most of the day (5-8 hours a day) and to regularly work on raised surfaces and climb stairs or ladders.
