We are dedicated to providing tailored strategies that align with our clients' values and missions, focusing on service, integrity, and excellence. Our team is passionate about driving impactful change by equipping our partners with the tools and technologies they need to thrive in a digital age. Position Overview At Servant, we empower leaders and organizations within faith communities through mission-driven digital transformation. We are seeking a Lead Data & Marketing Solutions Architect to serve as the senior technical solution owner and strategic partner for a high-impact nonprofit client. This is a client-facing, strategy-forward role—not a traditional engineering management position. You will act as the Integration Orchestrator for a complex ecosystem of data, analytics, marketing, and fundraising platforms, ensuring systems work together seamlessly to support mission-critical outcomes. Partnering closely with our Client Account Manager, you will guide senior stakeholders through high-stakes architectural and data decisions with broad organizational impact. You will lead a skilled team of Data Engineers and Analysts, overseeing day-to-day execution while maintaining ownership of the overall solution architecture. While you won’t write ETL pipelines day-to-day, you will have the authority to evaluate, challenge, and refine architectural decisions to ensure scalability, accuracy, and long-term value. We are seeking a Data Product Leader, not a pure infrastructure engineer. Your core “superpower” is Analytics & Reporting Integrity—ensuring that data captured across digital experiences flows accurately into the warehouse and downstream systems, enabling trustworthy reporting, insight generation, and informed decision-making that directly supports the organization’s mission. Key Responsibilities Strategic Architecture & Value Engineering Pragmatic Roadmapping: Partner with the Client Account Manager to map out technical scenarios, framing engineering decisions in terms of cost and business value (ROI). Broker Technical Knowledge: Understand the client’s digital landscape and advise on high-impact changes, pushing vendors past “wheel-spinning” when issues arise. Technical Authority: Serve as the primary technical decision-maker, translating complex business goals into executable technical roadmaps. Data Product & Analytics Integrity (Hands-On Focus) Tracking Strategy: Define and own tracking plans and conversion logic; implement standard JavaScript tracking SDKs to capture high-fidelity data at the source. Reporting Trust: Ensure reporting accuracy by auditing pipelines combining donor, CRM, marketing, and mobile data; verify that Executive Dashboard numbers reflect reality. Schema & Flow: Design logical data flows between web, mobile, and Snowflake warehouse, ensuring distinct systems share a common “data language.” Ecosystem Orchestration & Vendor Management Integration Architecture: Lead third-party platform integrations (Virtuous, FundraiseUp, Webflow, Rudderstack, Snowflake). Define clean integration points and ensure adherence to standards. Marketing Technology Support: Provide technical recommendations for marketing initiatives, including UTM governance, A/B testing frameworks, and internationalization support for web and mobile. Team Leadership Mentorship: Provide architectural oversight to a team including Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Analysts. Stakeholder Bridge: Collaborate with Directors of IT, Data, and Marketing, leveraging emotional intelligence to navigate tension and drive consensus. 8–10+ years in technical leadership with experience in Solution Architecture, Data Engineering, or Technical Product Management. Consulting experience preferred; ability to manage “up and out” to clients and “down and in” to delivery teams. Alignment with Servant’s mission: a desire to work with faith-based nonprofits to enable digital transformation. Mastery (Hands-On): Analytics & Tracking: Tracking plans, conversion logic, GA4, Rudderstack, or similar CDPs. Data Integrity: Auditing and querying data to verify reporting accuracy. Fluency (Architectural Oversight): Data Warehousing: Snowflake, dbt, ETL/ELT patterns; ability to review Data Engineer’s architecture and API integrations. Marketing Platforms: CRM data schemas (HubSpot, Virtuous) and warehouse integration. Generalist Knowledge: Web & Mobile: Familiarity with modern stacks to manage QA and release readiness of integrated systems.
