Job Overview: As a Project Manager at Sequoia Group Holdings, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating architectural millwork projects from inception to completion. The position demands a candidate with robust communication skills, acute attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while working in our New York City office and collaborating with our Head Office in Hong Kong and factories in Dongguan, China as well as with our global clients. We seek a proactive individual with drive, flexibility, and a strong desire for professional growth. Please note that this role involves significant travel, and candidates must be Green Card holders, U.S. citizens. Responsibilities: Project Planning and Coordination: • Develop detailed project plans outlining scope, timelines, scheduling and resource requirements. • Demonstrate excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing (based in Dongguan), and installation, ensuring seamless communication and coordination. • Utilize CAD for design review and coordination. Client Communication: • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress. • Address client inquiries promptly, maintaining an excellent level of customer satisfaction. • Participate in client meetings, site meetings as well as meeting with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors to review the scope of work and manage client expectations/budget. Budget and Cost Management: • Monitor project budgets, identifying and addressing potential cost overruns. • Track project expenses, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines. • Manage vendor purchases and subcontractor bids. Quality Control: • Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that all architectural millwork meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations. • Work closely with the factory to ensure the design intent is executed through shop drawing development and fabrication. • Review quality control during production. Risk Management: • Identify potential risks and challenges, developing and implementing mitigation strategies. • Proactively address issues to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables. Team Leadership: • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment. • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring alignment with project goals. Qualifications: • Proven experience (5 years +) managing architectural millwork projects. • Strong knowledge of millwork fabrication processes and materials or project management construction experience. • Proficient with CAD. • Experience with an architectural or construction background. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. • Proficient in project management software and tools. • Must be a Green Card holder, U.S. citizen, or have a valid employment visa. • Willingness to travel extensively to project sites. • Microsoft Suite • Fluency in Mandarin a plus Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Parental leave • Vision insurance Job Type: Full-time - Minimum 40h a week.
