Lead front-end efforts using Vue.js, contribute to product decisions, and collaborate in a fully remote, startup environment. | Extensive Vue.js and Python experience, product-focused mindset, proactive nature, and ability to work remotely in a collaborative startup setting. | Sema is a software company that bridges the gap between technical and non-technical audiences to help deliver excellent software while respecting the craft of coding. Our first product has analyzed >1600 companies worth over $1.6TN to help guide technologists, the C-Suite, and Boards of Directors on codebase health. We are now building our next-generation product, the Sema Intelligence Platform, an AI-based system that understands code & Jira to help keep product roadmaps on track. We are particularly excited about an agentic capability that you could become a part of. Why work with us We have flat, collaborative teams where engineers are deeply involved in the product, not just siloed to tasks. Our engineering culture is built on continuous delivery and quick iterations. We are not wasting time in useless calls, unnecessary rituals, and senseless politics: we experiment, stick to what works, and cut out what doesn’t. Processes for the sake of processes are not our cup of tea. The most important requirement is a high level of seniority and the ability to think quickly and make sound engineering decisions. Unlike our other roles, we are looking for someone to lead our front-end efforts -- to be the team's expert but not necessarily the only engineer working on the front-end. Must-Haves: Extensive vue.js experience Experience with python A product-focused mindset and a genuine interest in what you are building A proactive nature, with a habit of asking questions and seeking to understand the bigger picture Bonus Points (Helpful, but not required): Experience with Django Experience in an early-stage startup environment We value people who: Take ownership of their work Are biased for action: when you are a startup, it’s better to try quickly and roll back than to drown in endless doubts Are interested in the "why" behind their tasks and want to be involved in product decisions Thrive in a collaborative, fully remote environment; honesty and radical candor towards each other are not optional Fully remote, flexible work schedule Collaborative, flat organizational structure without bureaucracy High-impact environment — your decisions directly shape product direction Continuous learning environment and professional growth opportunities Competitive salary EOR (Employer Of Record) form of employment is possible
