As an SPM, you will manage every aspect of a program’s relationship with its critical suppliers and suppliers’ material deliveries which are vital to the success and timely execution of Saab programs. Responsibilities Include: Lead the strategic management of various suppliers and their material deliveries Coordinate and lead weekly telecoms to review status of purchase orders, material schedules, and anticipated deliveries Track, maintain, and report out metrics related to supplier on time delivery and supplier risk(s) Develop, track, and update material forecasts which contribute to the timely recognition of forecasted revenue commitments to the business. Provide weekly updates to Supply Chain leadership on program accomplishments, milestones or current actions, and risks. Lead and/or participate in efforts to provide material cost and labor inputs for proposal efforts. Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with critical suppliers which cover suppliers’ performance on quality, cost, and deliveries. Lead resolution of technical and programmatic supplier issues Assist with metrics, reporting, continuous improvement, and other strategic initiatives Compensation Range: $112,900 - $146,800 The compensation range provided is a general guideline. Skills and Experience: Supply Chain experience with the U.S. Government, Department of Defense, or Federal Aviation Administration BA/BS degree with 10+ years of experience or MBA/MS/JD degree with 8+ years of experience Professional certification or advanced degree preferred Comprehensive understanding of the procurement process (sourcing, qualifying suppliers, placing orders, tracking On Time Deliveries, and expediting) Experience navigating through an ERP system Experience with contracting methods and types Analytical thinking and problem solving- ability to apply sound judgement and creativity Communication / Interpersonal Relationships Financial Acumen- ability to determine cost reasonableness Desired Skills: 5 or more years of experience in a production and/or development environment with preference for aerospace and defense experience USG, DoD, or FAA contracts experience Cross-functional experience working with Quality, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, or Program Management Continuous Improvement (Black Belt, Green Belt) Comprehension of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) Experience interacting with programs and reporting out to business leadership Willingness to travel up to 25% in support of program and business development efforts Must be capable of obtaining a Secret level clearance Citizenship Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen. Perform logistics engineering tasks including supportability analyses, maintenance concept development, obsolescence management, and customer coordination. | Requires a BA/BS in engineering or related field with 3+ years relevant experience or 8+ years military/aerospace experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and knowledge of electronic systems. | Job Description: Saab, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Engineer to join our team. This role develops and refines support and maintenance concepts, performs supportability analyses to optimize lifecycle performance, collaborates with engineering to define reliability and maintainability requirements, conducts hazardous materials analyses, evaluates field data to recommend improvements, and supports obsolescence management activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Perform as a logistics engineer for assigned programs. • Use and help develop Product Support Analysis (PSA) and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), including Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA). • Participate in customer meetings including Provisioning Guidance Conferences (PGC) and Provisioning Conferences (PC). • Assist in providing provisioning support for procurement and cataloging of items of supply needed to sustain systems. • Assist in aligning the Engineering Data for Provisioning (EDFP) to the required maintenance level. • Assist with analysis and coordination of obsolescence management activities in support of customer programs.
