As a Senior Software Engineer on our Patient Services team, you won’t just maintain existing systems—you will architect the high-throughput, distributed platform that serves as the single source of truth for all patient data across Rula. We are currently undergoing a period of hyper-scale, and you will lead the technical strategy for one of our highest-impact initiatives: re-engineering our core backend data systems to be massively scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant. In this critical role, you will tackle complex distributed systems challenges where system performance, uptime, and data integrity directly impact real human lives seeking mental healthcare. You will drive zero-to-one architectural decisions during a pivotal growth phase while acting as both a technical leader and a force multiplier for the team. About the Role The Provider group is embarking on a critical phase of growth and technical modernization. To guide this evolution, we are hiring a Sr. Staff Software Engineer to serve as the overarching Technical Individual Contributor Leader for the entire Provider organization. This role requires a unique combination of deep technical expertise, architectural foresight, and cross-functional leadership. Operating as a strategic partner to the Senior Director, the incumbent will be responsible for setting the technical roadmap, establishing engineering standards, and driving high-impact initiatives that span all teams within the Provider domain.
