Job Description We are looking for a Lab Technician to manage and maintain sales demonstration and experience equipment at Rockwell Automation's Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI used by onCourse and our Customer Experience Center. Our Customer Experience Center (CxC) Program is a focused on delivering exceptional customer engagement through intentional experiences. We are looking for someone committed to customer service who thrives on the challenge of exceeding client expectations. Rockwell Automation's onCourse program is used globally by Rockwell Automation sales and distributor specialists to deliver remote product demos, training sessions and technical seminars to customers. The onCourse hardware offering gives the field remote access to a shared set of Rockwell equipment that is readily available and easy to use. Your Responsibilities: You will work with a global and cross functional team including: Commercial Engineers, Competency Instructors, and Subject Matter Experts, etc. Responsible for supporting projects to implement enhancements and/or refresh the center's equipment offering. New equipment or panel designs Installation and commissioning of new equipment and/or infrastructure Setup, test, and validate content within the lab / onCourse infrastructure. Serve as administrator for the daily onCourse hardware center operations. Manage reservation processes: Reviewing / responding to requests Assist with deployments of assets Provide program support: Responsible for troubleshooting hardware / software / firmware issues Respond to user requests, questions and concerns in a timely manner Serve as the primary resource that manages the daily technical operations of the Milwaukee CxC – including IT, AV and Rockwell technology. Ensure all assets are operational for CxC Tours Identify and create new processes and workflows to improve the technical operations of the center Support the expansion of technology in the space and the sharing of knowledge to others Expected to maintain and continue development of technical expertise with Rockwell Automation products and solutions. The Essentials - You Will Have: Associate Degree or equivalent combination of skills, experience, and education. The Preferred - You Might Also Have: A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience with overall control systems. Knowledge of Rockwell Automation core products, including: PLCs, Motor Control, Operator Interface, Networking / Communication, Safety and I/O Experience with Rockwell Automation core software: RSLinx, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, Connected Component Workbench, FactoryTalk View ME/SE and ViewDesigner Good technical writing skills, able to present topics to small groups. Field and/or direct customer experience. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize accordingly. A desire to learn new products/technologies outside current areas of expertise. Ability to lead projects, including coordination with 3rd party vendors. Experience with cloud infrastructure and/or virtualization software. Networking knowledge with system level troubleshooting ability.
