Requirements: • 6-10 years of Software Development experience, with a primary focus on Functional Programming ecosystems. • Strong communication skills and a specific interest in Pair Programming. You must be able to think out loud and collaborate on complex functional logic in real-time. • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) in an FP context. • Proficiency with Property-Based Testing libraries (e.g., QuickCheck, Hedgehog, test.check, Kotest). • Production experience with languages such as: Haskell, Scala (Typelevel/ZIO stack), Clojure, Elixir, F#, OCaml, or Rust. • Alternatively: Mastery of functional libraries in hybrid languages (e.g., TypeScript with fp-ts/Effect, Kotlin with Arrow). • Experience designing Stateless APIs and Event-Driven Architectures. • Familiarity with functional frontend approaches (e.g., Elm, ClojureScript/Re-frame, React with strict Hooks patterns). • Experience with Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and deploying immutable artifacts. • Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and integrating functional linters or formal analysis tools (e.g., SonarQube, Fortify). • Strong understanding of Functional Algorithms and Data Structures (immutable trees, persistent data structures). • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. • Ability to obtain a security clearance for US Government work.
