The Senior DevOps Engineer can expect to work with complex software applications on a variety of networked, embedded platforms. They will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of software products globally. This role serves as the focal point for the success of our enterprise class SaaS service offerings across the company. The Senior DevOps Engineer ensures continuity of the company’s SaaS Services to prevent any significant disruption of normal operations of our enterprise service offerings and operates 24/7/365 days a year. This role increases overall confidence in the services that are being delivered and ensures proper communication to the company’s customers during any disruption of normal operations. The primary objective of this role is to oversee and ensure critical applications and services provided are available and working as expected for customers, while the secondary objective is to develop and improve existing service monitoring tools through additional integrations, automation and collaboration. The Senior DevOps Engineer will have experience with various version control systems, build tools and cloud automation tools. This individual will work closely with product development and content delivery teams. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex issues where analysis of data requires an in-depth evaluation across multiple technology domains. Duties and Responsibilities: Investigate and resolve customer complaints and inquiries Work per escalation, notification and incident practices to meet or exceed SLA’s Build and maintain tools for builds, deployment, monitoring, and engineering Automate and streamline our operations and processes Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments Engage and participate in Scrum software development, including planning, retrospectives, continuous improvement Work in a highly collaborative team environment Identify ways to improve things and to make them more reliable and champion them through to completion Perform other job-related duties as assigned Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience 5+ years of experience working as a Sec DevOps Engineer in a software engineering or cloud technology capacity 4+ years of experience with Linux and some Windows environments and languages (Bash, Powershell, C++ and Python) Experience with CM Tools such as SVN, Artifactory, Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Docker, Kubernetes, SaltStack, Kafka or an equivalent Experience with software build tools and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, TeamCity) At least 2 years of professional experience with using version control systems (Perforce, SVN, Git, etc.), including branching and merging strategies Experience with engineering systems Preferred experience with security testing at scale by building and implementing static and dynamic analysis tools, integrating security into CI/CD workflows for everyday deployments Preferred 2+ years of experience working in a security role handling on premise and cloud infrastructures Preferred strong understanding of automation tools In addition to a comprehensive package of health benefits that include company contributions, RAVE Aerospace offers a variety of additional benefits and perks to enhance your work-life balance experience including but not limited to: - A home allowance to elevate your home workspace - Discretionary bonus program - Future financial security with a 401(k) program with company match - Paid time off covering vacations, personal time off and sick days, capped off by an exciting year-end holiday shutdown - Embraced flexibility with our alternative work schedule (9/80) to navigate your workweeks with every other Friday off
