Join our growing ENT practice as a Surgery Scheduler and play a vital role in coordinating surgical care for our patients and supporting our physicians. Position Summary The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for coordinating all aspect of surgical scheduling, communicating with patients and facilities, and ensuring a seamless surgical experience from scheduling through post-operative follow-up. Responsibilities - Schedule surgeries, procedures, and related appointments for physicians. - Coordinate with hospitals, surgery centers, and physician offices. - May need to obtain and track insurance authorizations and referrals as required. - Communicate surgery details, pre-operative instructions, and expectations to patients. - Ensure all required documentation is completed and submitted accurately. - Maintain physician surgery calendars and make scheduling adjustments as needed. - Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and benefits. - Work collaboratively with providers, clinical staff, and fellow schedulers to ensure efficient operations. - Serves as a team player by assisting coworkers and supporting departmental needs when necessary. - Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Previous surgery scheduling experience preferred. - Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. - Ability to work independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment. - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. - Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
