Others need not apply. Quick Tie Products, Inc. (“QuickTie”) is a growing manufacturer servicing the building materials products industry. We manufacture and distribute a proprietary metal hold-down system for wood frame and masonry construction, as well as other related framing products. We are looking for a sales professional to expand our footprint in the South-Central region focusing on TX and Oklahoma Our South-Central Territory Manager is responsible for account development, generating product sales and growing the territory spanning across Texas, Oklahoma and western Arkansas This will be a home-based from one of the major MSA in Texas (Austin, San Antonio, Houston) remote position requiring up to 70% travel to cover the territory and occasional travel to tradeshows and to the company headquarters in Jacksonville, FL. You will target all projects, specifiers, contractors and distribution channels/partners servicing the single and multi-family residential market segments. Creating strong relationships and partnerships with these customers will be your primary day-to-day. At QuickTie we practice a consultative sales approach so you will setup and lead product presentations, installer training sessions and other educational workshops. Essential Job Duties and responsibilities (as a % of your time): 70%: drive demand and grow sales of all QuickTie products by visiting jobsites, prospecting, conducting sales calls, identifying opportunities, giving presentations including hands on demonstrations, training, and repairing tools. The key to long-lasting success? Specifications of QuickTie products (in lieu of competitors’ products) on single-family and multi-family plans. All interactions with customers are to be scheduled and reported in our CRM system. 20%: Cultivate relationships with customers and business partners (suppliers, specifiers, building officials, and contractors). Educate. Train. Support. Entertain (occasionally). Solve problems (consistently). Understand customers’ business models and pricing structures. Be “their guy” (or gal). 5%: Participate in homebuilder association meetings and committees and/or causes. Be a brand ambassador for QuickTie. Recruit good people. 5%: Other Administrative tasks that come with a home-based sales role including but not limited to (Booking travel, submitting expense reports in a timely manner, etc.) Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree • 5+ years of construction industry experience • Moderate to deep knowledge of residential construction, distribution, and project workflow from architect/engineer to the contractor. • Sales and account management experience with a proven track record of sales/profit growth. • Demonstrable abilities to: • Gain product knowledge. • Influence decision-makers. • Develop and present captivating presentations and close sales. • Fulfill all commitments made to peers, co-workers, and supervisors. • Build and sustain productive customer relationships. • Find and maximize opportunities for growth and development. • Solve Problems. • Manage multiple priorities. • Navigate Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point), CRM, ERP, and other software, and to learn new systems quickly. • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (required). Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, see, talk, and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 50 lbs. Work Environment Home office environment + places of business (e.g., offices & stores) + construction job sites. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. Job sites may employ heavy machinery to avoid; noise level on site may be loud at times. This job requires 70% domestic travel. Compensation • First year gross on-target earnings (base + commission + car allowance): $100,000 - $110,000 • Uncapped commissions QuickTie is an equal opportunity employer.
