We are hiring a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our team. The Software Engineer will work collaboratively with the software development team to contribute to PSC Software projects and initiatives by developing features, ensuring bug fixes, and providing proactive technical support. Successful candidates should have a passion for life sciences and technology, with a foundation in web development (PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and databases such as MySQL) and an eagerness to grow their skills in cloud (AWS) and AI technologies. Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including discovery, analysis, requirements definition, solution design, code development, testing, deployment, and support. Work closely with team members to develop maintainable, performance-optimized solutions. Collaborate cross-functionally with technical/non-technical stakeholders to gather and understand requirements. Work directly with developers, quality assurance, and product management to report, track, and resolve critical issues. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software. Participate in all aspects of testing, including unit, functional, regression, load, and system testing. Support small and large feature development, ensuring bug fixes/resolution. Evaluate new tools and technology to ensure an automated and stable environment. Provide system administration efforts for systems in a cloud based highly-available and highly-scalable environment. Work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, agile environment. Additional responsibilities as required. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Portfolio of projects to review is a plus. 1–2 years of experience in software engineering and development (including internships or equivalent). Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms. Experience building web applications using any modern programming language (e.g., PHP, Python, Node.js, Java, etc.) and a web development framework. Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Solid database knowledge, preferably with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). Familiarity with cloud development, especially AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM). Interest or foundational knowledge in AI/ML concepts and eagerness to apply them in real-world projects. Bonus skills: Familiarity with the Yii framework, or prior experience in PHP-based systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Your Role We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in the life science sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance processes, with specialized experience in auditing, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining the highest quality standards in pharmaceutical production. This individual will play a crucial role in the review and assessment of manufacturing practices, quality control systems, and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated environment.This is a hybrid role with 25% travel to North Carolina required. Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures in alignment with industry standards and regulations. Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with relevant regulations, including but not limited to FDA, EMA, ICH, and GMP guidelines. Review batch records, validation documentation, and quality control data to ensure compliance and product quality. Conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations, and other relevant standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of audit findings and continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare detailed audit reports, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) reports, and other documentation as required. Maintain thorough and accurate records of quality assurance activities, audits, and regulatory communications. Participate in the preparation and review of SOPs, work instructions, and other quality-related documents. Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on quality and operational efficiency. Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance within the life science industry. Proven experience in conducting GMP audits, both internal and external, in a pharmaceutical or life sciences environment. Experience with regulatory bodies such as the FDA, EMA, and other international regulatory agencies. Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS), CAPA, deviation management, and risk management. Strong understanding of GMP regulations, FDA guidelines, and other applicable industry standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify potential areas of risk and non-compliance. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports. Travel is required.
