Partner with sales and brokers to deliver strategic relationship plans, provide renewal analysis, and sell new lines of business to grow profitable revenue. | Bachelor's degree with 4+ years related experience, Life and Health Insurance Licenses or ability to obtain within 90 days, excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, and occasional travel with personal transportation. | What You'll Do As a Client Relationship Consultant, you will partner closely with our Sales team and Broker partners to: • Deliver upon a strategic relationship plan that includes quarterly/annual goals • Provide expert renewal analysis • Deliver outstanding service and selling of new lines of business This opportunity plays a meaningful role in delivering profitable revenue growth of an assigned block of in-force group business by developing and implementing customized strategies. This will be done through strategy discussions with the sales representatives and brokers. In addition, individuals in this role will be seen as industry experts and consultants in group benefits in general. Does this sound like you? Apply Now! Who You Are • Bachelors degree or equivalent plus 4+ years related experience (group benefits and/or account management experience preferred). • Life and Health Insurance Licenses required for all states in which business will be conducted or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment required. Active life/health license preferred. • Must have excellent persuasion, interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, time management, presentation, listening, and oral/written communication skills, as well as analytical skills. • Advanced math skills required with basic skills related to graphs, symbols, equations, etc. • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of business unit applications preferred. • Maintain accuracy while being detail oriented. • Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential. • Occasional travel required, including overnight stays for face-to-face interaction with customers and brokers. • As a required part of the role, candidate must be able to provide personal transportation to business related events. Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $66000 - $105000 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible Yes Location(s) This role will work remotely from within the territory (Seattle, Portland, or Northern California) and will report into the office periodically. This is a leadership development opportunity where you will collaborate with other leaders in the region to lead, manage and develop an Account Management team. In addition, this role partners with the Sales Reps to achieve office sales and retention goals. This role takes a very "hands on" approach and needs to be willing to take very tactical actions to get things done. The successful incumbent is comfortable both leading and influencing the team. Along with leading a team, you will maintain a block of business, meeting retention and profitability goals. Here are a few examples of things you'll do: • Frame problems and solutions from a broad, strategic perspective. • Develop competencies needed to be a strong leader. • Define expectations, establish goals, and mentor the team. • Assist your team on sophisticated service issues, negotiations, retention, and renewals. • Collaborate with the sales team on additional products and services.
