This position is responsible for providing project management systems and technical direction to EPC projects teams for the purpose of delivering safe, cost-effective and quality execution of small to medium scale electric substation, transmission, and distribution projects and/or client accounts. This position is the single point of accountability for the successful planning, execution and closeout of projects which is accomplished through managing all aspects of projects including scope, schedule, cost, safety and quality as defined in the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK). Responsible for managing the client relationship and keeping company management informed of project status and issues. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and to have the ability to work independently. Lead and manage all aspects of estimating large utility scale solar construction projects including scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality to deliver accurate bids and support contract execution. | Requires minimum 5 years estimating civil construction projects, preferably with a BS in engineering or construction management, proficiency in estimating software, strong communication skills, and knowledge of heavy civil construction methods. | The Sr. Estimator position will be responsible for delivering safe, cost-effective, and quality estimates of complex and large utility scale solar projects. The Sr. Estimator is the single point of accountability for the completion of conceptual and final hard-bid estimates for self-perform construction work. The estimator will lead and manage all aspects of estimate development including scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality. This role will complete estimates by performing a thorough and complete bid analysis reviewing all relevant project data, facts, and information. The estimator will plan the scope of work involved in the project using reasoning, sound logic and current means and methods of construction.
