The Software Engineer will design and develop high-quality APIs using the Laravel framework and maintain scalable backend systems. They will also integrate various databases and ensure efficient data management for APIs. | Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in software development, particularly with PHP and Laravel. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, along with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills. | What you will be doing: Design and develop high-quality APIs using the Laravel framework Develop and maintain scalable, performant, and reliable backend systems Integrate and manage various databases such as MySQL and MongoDB Provide efficient data and security management for our APIs Maintain Elasticsearch to provide efficient and fast search functionality Write clean and maintainable code, and ensure code quality by conducting regular code reviews Work collaboratively with product managers, and other developers Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings Maintain and expand API documentation using Swagger Review and troubleshoot critical/high reported issues in Production or UAT What you will need to be successful: 3+ years software development experience in backend systems 3+ years of experience in PHP and Laravel development 3+ years of experience in MySQL development and data modeling Proficient in HTML, CSS, TypeScript Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs Experience in developing using Docker containers Experience in developing and maintaining integrations with 3rd party services Understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile development Experience with the Git version control system Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience PlanHub offers: An awesome culture where you will be empowered, make an impact, and learn a ton. Drive client retention and adoption of PlanHub’s SaaS platform through onboarding, training, support, upselling, and proactive client engagement. | Minimum 3 years inbound sales or customer success experience, fluency in English and Spanish, SaaS experience preferred, strong communication and organizational skills, and familiarity with HubSpot. | What you'll do to make an impact: Establish clear client retention goals. Build and nurture post-sale relationships with English and Spanish-speaking clients, driving adoption of PlanHub’s product platform. Assist customers with onboarding, including account setup, product navigation, and training, in both English and Spanish. Conduct product walkthroughs, support calls, and training sessions in both languages. Promote the value of PlanHub’s product suite and encourage adoption. Identify upsell opportunities for additional services and features. Call on clients quarterly to ensure initial training milestones are achieved, assess changes in needs, and provide tailored training or support plans. Proactively re-engage inactive clients (e.g., 30 days without login). Act as a trusted partner to help clients achieve long-term success. What will make you stand out: Minimum of 3 years of inbound sales or customer success experience, required. Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and verbal) is required. Strong organizational skills with a passion for customer service. Familiarity with contact management and sales automation tools (HubSpot experience preferred). It also includes a monthly performance-based bonus, earned by meeting variable targets. Bonuses are calculated monthly based on the prior month’s performance and paid out the following month. Total on-target earnings (OTE) are expected to range from $95,000 to $105,000 annually. Bonus structures are reviewed periodically and are subject to change at the company’s discretion. In the event of a mid-month departure: commissions, bonuses, or other incentive-based compensation may be prorated based on performance up to your official end date. Any compensation tied to activity or results occurring after your departure date will be considered unearned and will be forfeited, in accordance with the terms of the applicable compensation plan This position will be a remote position within the United States.
