Sell advertising and sponsorships across various media platforms, develop client partnerships, and attend industry events. | High school diploma plus 95 months of relevant experience, bilingual in English and Spanish, knowledge of Media OS, and willingness to travel. | Sell advertising in various media as International Director of Business Development including for company's various divisions including print publishing, internet publishing, trade show, professional share groups, attend trade shows and professional conferences. Responsibilities: Sell advertising in print, online and e-newsletter platforms to a variety of clients and agencies. Sell exhibit space and event sponsorships. Sell special opportunities such as custom books, videos, consultative services, etc. Develop and sustain partnerships with key accounts and handle all client concerns. Effectively respond to all RFP. Grow partnerships with new prospects. Maintain contact with clients in the market to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. Make in-person sales calls and attend industry conventions and conferences throughout the year. Sell over the telephone. Utilize e-mail, text, social media, etc., as part of the selling and relationship-building process. Develop and implement marketing plans as needed for sales efforts. Explain contracts and invoicing to international clients. Provide feedback to publisher regarding sales performance. Adhere to reporting practices, including the use of CRM software, such as Salesforce. Qualifications: Requirements: High school diploma plus 95 months experience in the position offered or as business development manager, media sales manager, media marketing, or advertising manager. Applicant must speak both English and Spanish because the clients of the business are also located in Mexico, Chile and Spain amongst other Spanish speaking countries and their employees generally do not speak English. Applicant must have working knowledge of Media OS, an operating system for the media industry. Travel by airplane is required for business meetings at least once per month by air from LAX to locations throughout North America. Travel is generally 3-5 days at a time. Salary is $95,000 per year.
