Job Summary: The Finance Manager, Business Planning – Chains West plays a key role in identifying growth opportunities and providing strategic insights to support the division sales teams. Plan and execute pricing strategies, including price changes and promotional plans, collaborating with Distributor Partners, Brand teams, and State Leads to maximize revenue and profitability. Monitor and reconcile Local Market Fund (LMF) investment plans, coaching market teams to make data-driven, profitable decisions. Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities: • Execute regional chain strategies to deliver volume, NNS, and category share growth across AZ, NV & CO. • Manage relationships with regional buyers, category managers, and key decision-makers within assigned chain retail accounts (e.g., grocery, drug, club, and liquor chains). • Partner with distributor teams to ensure effective sell-in and execution of national and regional programming. • Collaborate with National Accounts, Area and State Commercial Leads to translate national plans into local execution, including pricing, promotion, inventory, and POS/VAP support. • Monitor and analyze performance KPIs including distribution, pricing, shelf space, and promotional ROI; recommend adjustments to improve outcomes. • Support development of annual operating plans (AOPs) and contribute to forecasting and performance tracking for assigned accounts. • Leverage syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI) and shopper insights to inform customer-specific programming and execution. • Facilitate customer reviews and performance routines to ensure alignment and accountability. • Foster collaboration with Channel Marketing and internal stakeholders to support market-level needs. • Promote a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and performance excellence within the team and with partners. • Travel within AZ, NV & CO to support account management, distributor engagement, and execution (estimated 40%). Key Requirements • Bachelor’s degree required. • 7–10 years of experience in beverage alcohol sales, with 3+ years focused on chain accounts. • Strong understanding of regional retail and distributor landscape in AZ, NV & CO. • Proven ability to manage account relationships and drive commercial execution. • Proficient in data analysis and insights tools. • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned geography. Develop and communicate activation strategies based on division/geographic priorities. Ensure assets provided to Sales are fit for field purpose and support portfolio strategy execution. Oversee localization and customization of national programs. Assess and approve locally initiated programs where national programs do not meet market needs. Customer & Distributor Sell Decks Ensure quality delivery of sell decks with clear objectives, local insights, and media support. Translate and communicate brand standards effectively to field, customers, and distributors. Program Input, Feedback & ROI Provide local market insights during annual planning and program briefing. Ensure all programs have commercial objectives and ROI evaluations. Offer ongoing feedback to brand and channel marketing teams on program impact. Local Market Connection Maintain top-to-top connections with Division GMs and distributor management. Ensure Field Marketing Managers gather and share market intelligence.
