About the Role We are seeking a superstar Chief of Staff / Business Operations Manager to collaborate closely with our executive team. This pivotal role involves driving strategic initiatives, optimizing operational processes, and ensuring cross-functional collaboration to achieve Matter's upcoming objectives. Qualifications • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or STEM. • Experience: 6+ years in business operations, management consulting, or similar roles within tech or environmental sectors. • Skills: • Proven background in Accounting, FP&A, or Finance Operations within technology companies with global sales. • Exceptional ability to work with large datasets and perform complex analyses. • Strong ability to create and deliver presentations, regularly interfacing with executive management. • Demonstrated experience in multi-stakeholder initiatives with strong collaboration skills in global, cross-functional teams. • Eagerness to learn new technologies, drive process automation, and utilize data and trend analysis for continuous improvement. • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and remain resourceful and solution-oriented in ambiguous situations. • Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset, strong interpersonal communication, exceptional personal accountability, and high ethical standards; capable of influencing without direct authority. • Process Improvement: Proven ability to enhance current practices, manage end-to-end processes, and optimize existing workflows. • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, and advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint. • Strong commitment to work, with the flexibility to work extended hours during critical periods. • Attributes: High level of discretion, proactive mindset, passion for innovation, environmental sustainability, ability to work long hours and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. The Role We’re hiring a Backend Engineer to own API integration and infrastructure. You’ll build systems powering Lumo’s core modules: Creator Radar, Outreach Automation, CRM, and Campaign Optimisation. Focus: technical execution, scalability, and backend robustness. What You’ll Do • Work with full stack, design, and QA to deliver features end-to-end. • Define backend services, data models, and third-party integrations (TikTok Shop, Kalodata, Gmail/Slack/Stripe). • Set engineering standards, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices. • Write clean, testable code; review and improve team contributions. • Design scalable data infrastructure with security, RBAC, and compliance. • Build AI-powered discovery (NLP, computer vision), outreach automation, and creator CRM workflows. • Develop conversational analytics with LLMs that translate natural language into queries and insights. • Implement campaign orchestration with A/B testing, performance tracking, and predictive analytics. Our Stack (current & planned) • Languages: Node.js (primary), Python (AI/ML), Go (select services) • Databases: Postgres + Redis; exploring Mongo/Firebase • Infra: AWS (Lambda, ECS, RDS), Docker, Kubernetes • Messaging: Kafka / RabbitMQ (planned) • Integrations: TikTok APIs, Kalodata, Gmail/Outlook, Slack, Stripe, Discord What We’re Looking For • 4+ years backend experience, strong in third-party integrations. • Skilled with REST/GraphQL APIs, OAuth, SQL & NoSQL (Postgres/MySQL/Mongo). • Cloud infra (AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker/Kubernetes. • Strong system design + SaaS scaling knowledge. • Security-first mindset. • Bonus: TikTok/e-commerce/social APIs or growth SaaS experience. Nice to Have • Familiarity with ML/AI workflows. • Startup/early-stage experience. • Passion for social commerce or creator economy. • Open-source contributions or personal projects.
