Peanut Brothers is a fast-growing clean-label CPG brand redefining peanut butter with bold flavors and premium ingredients. We are entering Meijer in October and scaling distribution across the Midwest, while also in discussions with VCs and the State of Illinois for future funding. Role Overview We are seeking a Sales Representative to drive retail growth and account management in Chicago and Midwest markets. You’ll be responsible for opening new doors, managing in-store relationships, and growing Peanut Brothers’ retail footprint. Responsibilities • Prospect and close new retail accounts (independent grocers, specialty stores, regional chains). • Manage relationships with existing accounts, ensuring strong sell-through. • Execute in-store demos and merchandising as needed. • Support rollout into Meijer and future chains by building store-level buy-in. • Track sales activity and provide regular updates to leadership. Requirements • Must have a car and be willing to travel within the region. • 3+ years of experience in Sales, ideally with proven success in CPG or food/beverage. • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. • Self-starter, able to work independently in a startup environment. • Established retail/buyer network in grocery/CPG a plus. Compensation Sales Commission Structure • Commission-based model (aligned with our rep structure): • Independent Grocers: 8–12% of net revenue, with volume accelerators. • Big Distribution / Chains: 3–5% of net revenue, with rollout bonuses. • Spiffs: $50 per new door (≥4 cases), $25 at 2–3 cases. • +2% commission kicker in months where rep handles demos/merchandising. • If candidate brings CPG experience and a strong network, higher commission and/or equity may be negotiated. • Future upside as company secures VC/state funding.
