Lead design, analysis, and reporting of brand and marketing research projects to provide actionable consumer insights and support strategic growth opportunities. | 5-7 years experience in qualitative and quantitative research, expertise in brand and ad tracking, strong communication skills, and preferably an MBA. | Sr Manager, Customer Insights This role will be the customer insights lead for brand and marketing research at Panera. The person will work across key internal teams to help identify and size strategic growth opportunities, as well as develop and optimize brand health reporting for the company. Strong communication and collaboration skills will help ensure success in this role. This role follows a hybrid work model. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of either Fenton, MO or Newton, MA, and are required to work onsite three days per week. Duties & Responsibilities The primary responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to: • Lead design, fieldwork, analysis and reporting for research projects to answer key business questions. This will include particular focus on • Design: Work with business partners across the Panera organization to identify business issues and opportunities, translate these into research objectives, and recommend appropriate research solutions to act against them • Results: think and interrogate the data/results in order to provide a cohesive, strong, impactful story that answers the business partners key questions that are tangible and action oriented • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business, effectively to be considered part of their team and a go to expert • Provide an informed and objective perspective as a subject matter expert to business critical requests for consumer insights, effectively becoming the objective “voice of the consumer” • Monitor market, consumer, competitive trends to identify opportunities and risks for the business • Manage relationship with our core trusted vendors, and occasionally help identify potential new vendors as needed for new projects Qualifications (Education & Experience) Prior Experience: • Five to seven years of prior job-related experience required • Experience with both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including • Brand Tracking, Ad Tracking and Pre-Testing, Creative and Message Testing • Segmentation, market structure and other strategic consumer analyses eg. drivers for growth • Trend identification and monitoring • Market research project management, including data analysis, interpretation, survey design and implementation, and report writing • Food service industry experience a plus Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Ability to present complicated analytical material in a concise and compelling manner • Ability to work independently • Skill in data analysis, including statistical and competitive evaluation and synthesis • Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods (surveys, focus groups, IDIs, etc.) • Working knowledge of syndicated data sources for brand health and ad measurement • Working knowledge of survey tools (e.g. Qualtrics) • Working knowledge of ad measurement tools (Ace Metrix) • Knowledge of appropriate statistical techniques and ability to explain results easily to end users • Strong organizational and time management skills • Strong writing and presentation skills Education • BA/BS in business, market research, statistics, economics or other related field • MBA preferred Physical Requirements • While performing this job, the incumbent is regularly required to stand, sit, talk hear & use hands and fingers to operate keyboards Direct Reports • No direct reports at this time Newton Support Center
