We are seeking an Education Specialists support the assessment of educational needs and the development/delivery of internal education programs at PaceMate, with a focus on clinical programming. Education Specialists set goals, establish timelines, and coordinate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to develop and deliver educational curricula. In addition to assisting in the development of employees’ skills to improve quality of work, productivity, and retention, the Education Specialists also will be responsible for New Employee Orientation. Roles & Responsibilities: Collaborate with peers to consistently deliver an exceptional first-day onboarding experience for all new hires, promoting employee engagement and contributing to the foundation for a positive company culture. Collaborate with peers and other relevant stakeholders to develop, maintain, and implement an integrated four-week curriculum for onboarding new cardiac device specialists. Collaborate with QA and other stakeholders to identify hotspots and develop interventions to improve outcomes. Regularly collaborate with peers, clinical managers, and QA to act as an organizational advocate and ensure messaging is consistent across all stakeholders. Identify needs and provide subject matter expertise to collaborate with the instructional designer to develop job aids, performance checklists, and other educational support resources. Provide individual coaching and support for clinical device specialists and other clinical staff, as needed to maintain quality of service. Serve as internal expert on PaceMateLIVE workflows for reading device transmissions. Regularly plan, develop, and execute in-services, staff development huddles, and other continuing education programs to ensure high quality output from the clinical team members. Collaborate with the Director, Learning and Development to regularly assess and report on outcomes of educational activities and programs. Extend expertise to assist in enhancing department onboarding for new employees for all PaceMate departments, where appropriate. Assist in the assessment of clinical skills, both for potential applicants, and to determine and address ongoing skills gaps. Collaborate with the Director, Learning and Development to maintain detailed, written curriculums for all educational programs, including ongoing assessment of effectiveness and adaptations, where necessary, to improve educational outcomes. Collaborate with the Director, Learning and Development to create and maintain an annual training plan and educational calendar. Collaborate regularly with other departments in the organization (Customer Success, Product, Integrations, etc.) to maintain knowledge and to identify areas of need for educational support and employee development. Maintain an exceptional level of knowledge related to PML and all associated services, including the ability to speak to key features and benefits for potential customers. Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding best practices for adult learning and the emergence of effective organizational learning tools and resources. Maintain the ability to accurately interpret, comprehend, and apply organizational policies and procedures. Collaborate with the Director, Learning and Development in the implementation of a robust learning culture at PaceMate, as appropriate. Recommend new educational methods and resources. Assist in special projects as needed. Education, Experience, and Core Competency Requirements Undergraduate degree in education, human resources, Nursing, Healthcare, Science, Business Administration, Learning and Development, Organizational Psychology, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three or more years of training and development. Demonstrated experience in organizing trainings and designing the educational curriculum. In-depth understanding of both traditional and modern training methods (including workshops, simulations, e-learning, and coaching). Hands-on experience with project management a strong plus. Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), as well as the ability to operate a personal computer, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Voice over IP and copier. Must possess written and oral communication skills. Thorough understanding of supporting a remote or virtual workforce preferred.
