Drive new business and manage client relationships within the financial research sales domain. | 2-5 years of relevant sales or business development experience in financial services, with strong communication skills and knowledge of financial markets. | Sr Business Development Manager / Associate Director - Alpine Macro - West Coast US Department: Alpine Macro Employment Type: Full Time Location: Remote, US Description Alpine Macro, a leading global investment research firm located in Montreal, Canada is growing our team. We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to help accelerate our rapidly growing business across the U.S. West Coast on our Americas team. This would be an excellent opportunity for candidates that have experience in internal and/or external sales in the financial services industry and have a demonstrated track record of generating new sales and managing accounts at the C-level. Location can be in the U.S. or Canada based. Key Responsibilities • Drive new business by sourcing and engaging qualified buy-side prospects (CIOs, Strategists, Directors of Research, Portfolio Managers, and Analysts) within a defined sales region. • Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach and evaluation setup through to negotiation and close of research access agreements. • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to generate leads, meet sales targets, and support corporate growth objectives. • Manage client and prospect relationships, including scheduling meetings and events with Alpine Macro strategists (virtual and in-person), and representing the firm domestically and internationally as required. • Respond to inquiries related to Alpine Macro’s research products and strategy offerings, ensuring clear communication of value. • Partner with the account management team to grow and retain existing client relationships through cross-selling and joint marketing initiatives. • Oversee sales operations, including reporting on performance metrics and supporting the development and training of sales team members. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise • 2-5 years of prior relevant work experience in research sales, business development, marketing or customer service in a financial institution or relevant work environment. Keen interest and knowledge of global financial markets. • Experience in prospecting, qualifying and closing. • Proactive with strong attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high stress environment. • University Degree required, preferably in Economics and/or Finance • CRM applications (Salesforce experience is an asset). • Excellent communication skills. Perfectly fluent spoken and written English. Other languages are an asset.
