Your job is to build the tracking infrastructure that makes every dollar accountable, eliminate manual work through automation, and enable a lean marketing team to operate with speed and precision while managing millions in annual paid media spend. You'll own the technical plumbing that makes marketing work: conversion tracking that connects every touchpoint to outcomes (GTM, CAPI, server-side tracking), automation that eliminates manual work (budget alerts, campaign QA, workflow tools), operational insights that drive daily optimization decisions, and landing page infrastructure that enables rapid testing. That means: accurate event tracking across paid and organic, automated budget/performance monitoring, quick analyses for the acquisition team, and AI-assisted page creation at scale. You'll also drive cross-functional initiatives with Engineering, Product, and Growth Science teams to get critical tracking and infrastructure work prioritized. Core Responsibilities 1. Conversion Tracking & Tag Management Own Google Tag Manager and server-side tracking across Opendoor properties Implement and maintain CAPI (Facebook, TikTok), enhanced conversions (Google), and offline conversion tracking to ensure accurate conversion data flows to ad platforms Partner with Engineering on Segment event tracking implementation, maintain event taxonomy documentation, and QA/troubleshoot tracking issues 2. Marketing Automation & Operational Efficiency Build automated budget pacing alerts, overspend warnings, and performance anomaly detection (CTR drops, conversion drops, spend spikes) Create campaign creation workflows, templates, and QA automation for launch checks (broken links, missing UTMs, tracking validation) Automate repetitive operational tasks using Gumloop, Python scripts or Claude Code to 10x team velocity Train team on AI tools and self-serve automation workflows for landing page and ad copy creation 3. Cross-Channel Performance Insights Partner closely with the Acquisition team to provide them with actionable insights to improve ROAS Provide operational campaign analysis, answer ad-hoc performance questions, and surface optimization opportunities across paid and SEO channels Build analyses to inform budget allocation and channel decisions in partnership with Growth Science 4.
