They are the principal owner of the sourcing process for multiple categories, driving stakeholder management, preparation and execution of negotiations, and making final supply recommendations to the business. Primary Responsibilities of the Role • Contribute to building a culture of procurement excellence within OnTrac so that procurement is viewed as a strategic partner. Key spend categories include labor, IT hardware and software, warehouse supplies, office supplies, repair and maintenance, utilities, and travel. • Assist in building internal capability - encompassing people, processes and technologies - across procurement, engineering, finance, operations, and more. • Develop category savings goals. Track financial results, implementation performance and supplier performance; identify gaps and variances in performance and take corrective action to restore performance to plan. • Support procurement initiatives in partnership with P&L owners to develop target financial goals and results, manage supplier performance to meet defined business requirements. • Lead the development of negotiation strategies, cost modeling and sensitivity/scenario analysis to help stakeholders understand trade-offs and business benefits of various negotiation strategies/outcomes. • Lead negotiations with suppliers; communicate results to business; develop final sourcing recommendation(s) and ensure broad support among stakeholders; Develop and manage supplier relationships.
