How You'll Perform the Role This position is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation, leadership and management of our Franklin, OH plant. This position reports to the Director of Operations and regularly reports on plant performance. How You'll Perform the Role The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for determining the best method of transportation, based on the customer’s requirements, quality of service, while keeping costs as economical as possible. • Work directly with customers and carriers to determine the best method of transportation, based on the customer’s requirements. • Manage shipping documentation on a daily basis, including but not limited to: maintaining the order scheduling process, printing of initial orders and address labels, updating the shipping log tracking information, scanning in documentation to the server, and reprinting of revised orders. • Responsible for the properly signing in of drivers and visitors by using the sign in sheet and ensuring all dock safety guidelines are being followed. • Administrative duties include completion of all required paperwork and organization of all pertinent shipping documentation. • Receive goods in the system (AX)accurately and in a timely manner, loading trucks. • Work directly with the Warehouse Supervisor and Lead(s) along with carriers in the scheduling of pick-ups while utilizing the Dock Schedule. • Assist with Monthly Cycle Counts and Annual Physical Inventory. • Assist with audit preparations and participate as requested by management. • Able to drive and operate a forklift.
