Developing and executing strategic partnership initiatives to drive revenue growth within insurance brokerage operations. | Over 10 years of senior leadership experience in strategic alliances, distribution, or business development within the insurance or financial services industry, with deep understanding of binding authority, carrier relations, and underwriting delegation models. | Position Summary The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships is a senior executive responsible for developing and executing Novatae’s strategic partnership initiatives that drive revenue growth through expanded retail distribution, binding authority agreements and strong carrier relationships within Novatae’s Brokerage operations. This role requires a highly strategic, relationship-oriented leader with deep expertise in wholesale/retail insurance markets, distribution channels, and multi-level third-party business development. The VP will partner closely with cross-functional leadership (Broking and Underwriting leaders, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Operations) to identify, negotiate, and manage high-impact strategic alliances that align with the company’s long-term business goals. Primary Responsibilities Strategic Partnership Development Define and lead the company’s strategic partnership strategy within Novatae’s Brokerage operations, focusing on expanding influence and revenue through targeted alliances. Identify, evaluate, and prioritize high-value partnership opportunities across retail distribution channels and carrier partners. Driving superior relationship and economic outcomes. Stay ahead of regional regulatory dynamics, business models, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions. Retail Distribution Leadership Drive initiatives that enhance retail market penetration and diversification, including direct retail platforms, broker relationships, and digital partners. Focus on Novatae’s largest retail client, World Retail. Building a foundational relationship and strategy to maximize the opportunities available. Binding Authority & Carrier Relations Build and manage key carrier relationships, ensuring a strong understanding of binding authority, delegated underwriting frameworks, commission income and profit-sharing arrangements. Negotiate and maintain binding authority agreements that accelerate market growth and income yield while protecting underwriting standards and compliance. Cross-Functional Collaboration Although reporting to the President, Novatae, the success of this role requires specific and tight collaboration with the Brokerage Regional Leaders to ensure partnership opportunities align with product capabilities, risk appetite, and profitability goals. Partnerships with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to structure partnership agreements that meet regulatory and operational requirements are important. Performance Measurement Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and financial impact of all strategic partnerships, including leading quarterly performance reviews with key partners. Provide regular reporting to senior leadership and the board on partnership achievements, risks, and strategic opportunities. Market Leadership Coordinate, lead and represent the company at industry conferences, trade associations, and public forums to promote the firm’s strategic partnership capabilities and value proposition. Position Specific Skills/Qualifications Work Experience 10+ years of senior leadership experience in strategic alliances, distribution, or business development within the insurance or financial services industry. Proven track record with retail distribution ecosystems, global markets, and complex partnership negotiations. Deep understanding of binding authority, carrier relations, and underwriting delegation models. Professional Licenses/Certificates (if needed based on industry standard): A valid insurance license, as required by state regulations. Relevant industry certifications, such as Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), are a plus. Essential Skills/Competency: Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and financial acumen. Strong negotiation, influencing, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build and sustain long-term, high-impact relationships. Comfortable engaging with C-suite executives, carriers, and global stakeholders. Experience working in international markets and navigating regulatory complexities. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field (MBA preferred). Physical Demands & Working Conditions Physical Demands Office work. This role partners closely with executive leadership, sales, underwriting, and carrier partners to elevate the firm’s market presence, support retail distribution efforts, and drive demand across key wholesale channels. This position requires a strategic, data-driven marketing leader with deep experience in B2B marketing, insurance or financial services, and multi-channel campaign execution. The Director of Marketing will oversee brand strategy, demand generation, digital marketing, content, events, and go-to-market initiatives aligned with the company’s wholesale growth strategy. Primary Responsibilities • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with wholesale business objectives, distribution goals, and growth initiatives • Lead brand positioning and messaging to strengthen the company’s presence with retail agents, brokers, and carrier partners • Partner with sales, underwriting, and leadership to support retail distribution growth, product launches, and market expansion • Oversee demand generation initiatives including digital campaigns, content marketing, email, events, conferences, and sponsorships • Drive thought leadership and market visibility through industry events, conferences, publications, and strategic partnerships • Manage marketing analytics, reporting, and KPIs to measure campaign effectiveness, ROI, and pipeline impact • Lead and develop internal marketing resources and external vendors, agencies, and consultants • Ensure brand consistency and compliance across all marketing materials and communications • Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure marketing activities align with regulatory and industry standards • Support executive communications and corporate initiatives as needed Position Specific Skills/Qualifications Work Experience • 8–12+ years of progressive marketing experience, preferably within insurance, wholesale insurance, MGA/MGU, financial services, or B2B professional services • Proven experience leading marketing strategy and execution in a complex, growth-oriented organization • Demonstrated success supporting sales and distribution teams with marketing programs that drive measurable results • Experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders Essential Skills/Competency: • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable marketing plans • Strong understanding of B2B marketing, demand generation, and brand management • Data-driven mindset with experience using marketing analytics to guide decisions • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment • Leadership capability with experience developing teams and managing vendors • High level of professionalism, judgment, and discretion Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field required • MBA or advanced degree preferred but not required Physical Demands & Working Conditions Physical Demands Office work.
