Job Summary Lead manufacturing operations to deliver exceptional safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. In this role, you’ll drive continuous improvement, optimize workflows, and build high-performing teams that enable business growth. Key Responsibilities Build and develop a high-performing operations team through hiring, training, and coaching. Drive operational excellence by implementing Lean principles and improving throughput, on-time delivery, and inventory accuracy. Develop and enforce policies and workflows that ensure compliance and efficiency. Use visual management tools to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions. Monitor and report on key metrics: Throughput Rate, On-Time Delivery, Net Profit Margin, Inventory Accuracy. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Manufacturing, or related field. Proven experience leading teams and managing complex processes in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Summary This role is responsible for identifying and generating new business and maintaining existing business at OEMs. The successful Sales Engineer will work closely and develop prosperous relationships with both our internal and our customers’ cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, quality, product design, and senior executives. The Sales Engineer identifies current and future customer needs (i.e. product/technology roadmaps, demand forecasts, quality assurance processes) and is able to communicate and champion them within the R&A organization. The territory is Northern CA & Northwest territory (WA, OR, NV, ID, UT, MT, WY, CO and BC, AB Canada). Primary Responsibilities • Deliver bookings & revenue targets and strategic objectives for the assigned geography. • Create and update a territory plan and action plan to deliver results. • Drive the sales process: consisting of Call, Opportunity, Account and Territory Management. • Pursue sales leads and prospective sales clients. • Provide regular accurate & detailed regional forecasts and reports. • Handle contract negotiations with new and existing accounts. • Develop relationships with other Novanta sales organizations in the region. • Maintain complete, accurate, timely and compliant data in CRM (Salesforce). Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies • Bachelor’s/Master´s Degree in relevant discipline (Mechatronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering). • Proven in-depth technical knowledge of mechatronic components with5 years of experience in Sales. • Know-how of encoder, motors and controls technology is mandatory. • Market know-how in at least 2 of the following markets for 2+ years: Robotics, Medical Robotics, Semiconductor, Metrology and Satellite Communication. • Multiyear successful track record of customer management with OEMs and in long cycle qualifications where pre- and post-sales services are a key element of the value proposition to the Customer. • Drives, implements, and continuously improves a disciplined sales process that demands lead generation, pipeline management, forecasting, etc. Proven CRM user. Travel Requirements • Requires up to 50% travel. • Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally, if required.
