Manage and execute Windows upgrade and patch deployment projects using automation and endpoint management tools. | Proficiency in Windows OS deployment, Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, and endpoint security compliance. | NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Patching Windows SME to join our client’s team. This is a remote, contract position. SALARY: $85-95 hour (depending on experience) Unfortunately, at this time our client is unable to sponsor or transfer visas. Requirements • Proficiency in upgrading and packaging OS and deployment tools (SCCM, Intune, Windows Autopilot) • Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory administration • Experience in imaging, patching, and endpoint management • Knowledge of security and compliance standards for endpoints, including Microsoft Defender • Ability to automate deployment processes using PowerShell • Experience in troubleshooting upgrade deployments and optimizing execution strategies • Demonstrated ability to analyze device readiness and validate data sources Responsibilities • Analyze device readiness and segment hardware for Windows 11 upgrades • Collect and validate data across multiple sources to support deployment planning • Standardize and consolidate device, user, and geographic data • Define primary upgrade paths, including deployment strategies (push/pull, in-office, device swap, full replacement) • Build segmentation models based on client data (user personas, location, support teams) • Establish program governance and reporting cadence for the upgrade project • Develop initial communication strategies for end users and stakeholders • Execute high-volume, low-risk upgrades using standardized deployment methods • Monitor and report progress through KPIs and status updates • Address bandwidth and performance issues in targeted regions • Collaborate with security and network teams to optimize tools and throughput • Manage application compatibility and resolve edge cases during validation activities • Build and maintain Windows images and execute patch rollouts • Automate workflows and system administration tasks with PowerShell Nextpath Workforce Solutions NextPath is a strategic talent partner connecting skilled professionals with organizations driving innovation and growth. This is a remote, contract position. SALARY: $100-$125 per hour (depending on experience) Unfortunately, at this time our client is unable to sponsor or transfer visas. Requirements • Prior experience with Microsoft Copilot and tenant readiness assessments • Strong experience running Copilot implementations, ensuring readiness across security, compliance, and data architecture • Experience evaluating SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, and related M365 workloads • Experience designing, reviewing, and validating Microsoft 365 Copilot security and compliance controls using Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Entra • Ability to present technical findings and recommendations clearly to senior technical and executive audiences Responsibilities • Assess Microsoft 365 tenants for Copilot readiness across identity, security, compliance, and data architecture • Evaluate M365 workloads to understand content structure, sharing, governance, and access • Analyze collaboration and usage patterns to determine Copilot effectiveness and safety • Identify risks related to oversharing, legacy permissions, unmanaged content, and fragmented information • Produce clear readiness assessments with actionable remediation recommendations • Review and validate security and compliance controls using Microsoft Purview, Defender, and Entra • Guide customers on balancing security controls with accessibility for optimal Copilot value • Act as a technical SME for Copilot deployment, configuration, and governance • Support deployment planning, licensing, and readiness validation • Evaluate automation and extensibility options, collaborating on scalable solutions • Lead customer discovery workshops and facilitate structured discussions on readiness, risks, and platform maturity • Present technical findings and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders Nextpath Workforce Solutions NextPath is a strategic talent partner connecting skilled professionals with organizations driving innovation and growth.
