Assist customers and generate sales in a retail environment, with some experience in lead generation and property management. | Basic retail and sales experience, familiarity with customer service, and some college education; lacks financial industry-specific skills and licenses. | Location Designation: Hybrid - 1 day per quarter Role Overview: Our External wholesaler is responsible for representing New York Life annuity products through Wire House, Independent and Bank advisors in specific territories. Preferred location for this role is Charlotte area but must live in NC or SC to apply. What You'll Do: • Work to develop sales of Immediate, Fixed Deferred, Indexed and Variable annuities in an existing territory • Generate sales • Develop a business plan to maximize market share, assets and profitability for assigned territory • Present New York Life products and services to financial advisors knowledgeably and effectively so that they can clearly identify the benefits of the products relative to its competitors • Provide advisors technical information, including a strong knowledge of the competitive landscape, financial markets and industry related topics • Work closely and communicate effectively with Sales Management • Drive a full schedule of appointments. Utilization of our contact management system (Salesforce) for activity • Manage travel and expense budget to assigned amount • This role will cover the following territories: North Carolina and South Carolina What You'll Bring • 5+ years of related sales and industry experience • College Degree Preferred • FINRA 7, 63 and State Life Insurance license • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience • Understands key business drivers; uses knowledge of best practices and the competition to improve processes and procedures • Experience with Salesforce and Concur strongly preferred Please note: This role requires FINRA licensed and/or FINRA Associated Person pre-hire fingerprinting. #LI - EM1 #LI - REMOTE Pay Transparency Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 Overtime eligible: Exempt Discretionary bonus eligible: No Sales bonus eligible: Yes Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location.
