Job Summary: The GI Specialty Sales Representative (Pharma) will be responsible for the sales performance of the full portfolio within an assigned geographic territory through successful execution of marketing strategies. This role is responsible for growing business relationships with key decision makers and influencers. The GI Specialty Sales Representative (Pharma) will also be responsible for focused detailing to specific targets with a carefully defined messaging strategy and call sequence, leveraging business and value solutions based on evidence, and outcome data, supporting the GI platform. This role will also work with the appropriate IDN hospital personnel in regards to transition of care and discharge protocols. • Territory Location: This territory includes the greater South Indianapolis, Indiana area and surrounding communities inlcuding Bloomington and Indianapolis. THIS ROLE IS NOT LOCATED IN BRIDGEWATER, NJ! Responsibilities: • Focus on driving growth among GI/Critical Care target specialists and new accounts. Meets/exceeds sales and profit objectives in assigned accounts. • Educate targeted healthcare providers on the benefits of a novel GI therapy within assigned territory. • Understand the GI healthcare environment and appropriately execute the selling process in a manner. that is concise, compliant, professional and persuasive; and which addresses a need and leads the customer to action. • Develop and communicate deep scientific understanding of GI disorders, assigned, and competitive products within the GI marketplace. • Cultivate and maintain long-term business relationships with key accounts and key opinion leaders within the GI community. • Develop and implement a territory specific business plan and utilize all available resources to foster a successful sales environment. • Effectively convey complex clinical and reimbursement product information to key stakeholders in a highly competitive marketplace. • Execute a customer centric needs based selling approach with targeted Healthcare Providers. • Utilize the sales reporting systems on a regular basis for call preparation, to record and track sales activity and to gather market intelligence data. • Organize meetings and deliver content to health care professionals on the topic of GI and nutrition aligned with tangible account objects and metrics as defined by the customer. • Conduct promotional programs for both professional and patient audiences. • Attend local, regional and national meetings as directed. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology or in a related field required. • 3+ years of Medical/Clinical selling experience with demonstrated success in specialty medical products OR 5+ years combined experience in sales with demonstrated success and clinical experience. • Demonstrated fluency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) is required. • Consistently meets and exceeds sales targets. • Ability to develop solid and long-standing business relationships with strategic/targeted customers. • Must possess solid financial acumen and analytical skills. • This position will require 25% or more travel to develop internal and external relationships (depending on geographical location). • Must possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Position Summary: The Regulatory Manager is responsible for assuring that Nestlé Health Science products fully comply with applicable US regulations and internal Nestlé policies. This function is responsible for but not limited to product composition, labels and associated communications. This position is expected to master the regulatory environment of the products commercialized by NHSc in the US, including dietary supplements, conventional foods, and medical foods. This position provides leadership to cross-functional teams in areas like recipe compliance, labeling, claims substantiation, ingredient qualification (e.g. GRAS, NDI), and nutrition science. The Regulatory Manager also develops and implements regulatory strategies to support innovation projects and works in anticipation of regulatory developments with the potential to affect the current portfolio and future pipelines. Key Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance: • Ensure full regulatory compliance with applicable US regulations and internal Nestlé policies in terms of product composition, advertising, labeling, website, and all associated communications. • Work proactively with other departments to review and analyze the accuracy and substantiation of Health Claims, Structure/Function claims and the qualification of ingredients (e.g. GRAS, NDI). • Clearly communicate to the business any area of regulatory concern and assure that regulatory strategies are developed and effectively implemented. • Provide regulatory interpretation and guidance to cross functional teams. • Advise on regulatory aspects of factory controls and testing as well as product variances and compliance criteria. Innovation and Renovation: • Partner and collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing and Product Development to proactively identify and create opportunities for innovative product claims, positioning, and support the development of the business strategy. • Provide scientific and regulatory expertise to qualify Innovation & Renovation (I&R) concepts, ensuring the implementation of a regulatory strategy to support new product development. Additionally, provide regulatory review of projects at each stage gate as deemed necessary to ensure compliance and successful progression. Regulatory Environment: • In alignment with company objectives, participate in setting and executing advocacy strategies. • Monitor and evaluate consumer trends and the regulatory landscape to anticipate regulatory developments. • Support development of strategies to improve effectiveness and efficiency of overall regulatory and scientific affairs environment. Foundation: • Support efforts to foster regulatory knowledge throughout the organization. • Provide training, development, and coaching to regulatory team with the aim of building capacity and strengthening regulatory team contributions. Experience and Education Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or a related discipline is required. Advanced degree such as Masters or RD, or similar, is a plus. • 5+ years of experience in the food and/or dietary supplements regulatory environment with full expertise on regulatory compliance (i.e. product composition; DSHEA; ingredient qualification, e.g., GRAS, NDI; labeling; Health Claims & Structure/Function Claims; overall product communications). • Exposure to industry groups, governmental authorities (e.g. FDA), and other scientific societies. • Ability to manage projects of high complexity and prioritize actions based on clear and pragmatic criteria. • Immediate requirements of the position do not include direct people management, but this exists as a possible development opportunity. • Availability for occasional national and international travel. The approximate pay range for this position is $110,000.00 to $140,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
