This will be a remote position with travel based on organizational need. Nemours Children’s Health is an internationally recognized children’s health system. With more than 1.7 million patient encounters annually, we provide medical care in five states through two freestanding state-of-the-art children’s hospitals — Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware and Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida. The Director of Benefits and Leave of Absence is a strategic leader responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Nemours Children’s Health’s benefits and leave programs. This role ensures compliance with all federal and state regulations, drives process efficiencies, and applies strong business acumen to deliver cost-effective, competitive programs that support associate well-being. The Director will lead a high-performing team, develop foundational processes, and create communication strategies that enhance understanding and engagement across the organization. Some key responsibilities: Develop and execute benefits and leave strategies aligned with organizational goals and Total Rewards philosophy. Provide recommendations to senior leadership on plan design, cost management, and vendor partnerships. Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to maintain competitive and compliant programs. Oversee administration of health, welfare, and leave programs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Lead annual benefits enrollment and communication campaigns. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize service and cost. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, or related field required Master’s degree or professional certifications (CEBS, CBP) Experience in healthcare or large, multi-site organizations. 8+ years of progressive experience in benefits and leave administration, including leadership roles. Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing benefits and leave. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex projects. Remote worker, must reside in a Nemours approved remote worker state to be eligible. The Quality Improvement Specialist collaborates with the Quality Improvement leaders and key stakeholders across the Enterprise, to provide support for multidisciplinary teams working on quality improvement initiatives. These teams are leading a variety of quality improvement and safety initiatives with a targeted focus on achieving results that improve key care processes and clinical quality outcomes. The position serves to support the facilitation including planning, implementation, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams and their work related to clinical quality improvement as well as the sustainment of these improvements. To achieve the targeted results, this position will support implementation of projects that were placed on hold due to staffing limitations. This position will mentor the new QIS who is hired in order to support ultimate transition of these projects. The Quality Improvement Specialist will have familiarity using Quality Improvement methodologies, SPS tools, and other techniques that are applied to achieve targeted and sustainable outcome improvements. Responsibilities: Serves as a key Quality Improvement resource to support departmental quality improvement teams, programs, projects, and initiatives. This support includes but is not limited to the following: Partner with department leaders & quality improvement teams to develop and advance the following: Improvement teams’ charters; implementation plans; timelines; milestones to effectively track deliverables; performance dashboards; change proposals and other relevant materials needed to support the teams. Assist in coordination, preparation and planning for the projects including conducting the necessary workshops, implementation of the recommendations, follow up utilizing daily management, and coaching leaders throughout the project. Provide subject matter expertise, education, and consultative support. Conduct current state analysis for priority workflows based on performance gaps. Develop respective gap closure quality improvement plans. Guides data collection, and the preparation of progress reports and outcomes to key stakeholders Partners with the Nursing Councils, and appropriate committees as a primary member, from Q/S team, and the chair to support the objectives and priorities of the committee. This support includes organization of committee logistics such as: assist with the preparation of the agenda, participant involvement, completion of items requiring follow-up, etc. In collaboration with the quality improvement team(s) support the development, upgrade, and delivery of quality improvement training programs and problem-solving methodologies/tools, to Q.I. teams and other stakeholders as needed. Apply appropriate quality improvement and safety analytical tools and methodologies to identify improvement opportunities and advance rapid cycle improvement (i.e. PDSA, FMEA, SPS Bundles, reliability science, process flow mapping, dashboards utilization, key driver diagrams, run charts and documentation from PDSA cycles implementation, etc.). Develop trust and effective working relationships with key stakeholders (quality and safety team, infection prevention, hospital, and ambulatory operations). Additional miscellaneous duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time by employee’s supervisor. Full-time benefits (health, dental, vision, PTO, tuition reimbursement, etc...) are included. The hours are 10a-630p. The Perioperative Services Supply Chain & Logistics Technician provides technical and supportive functions with regard to surgical equipment and supplies within the operating room that positively impact safety, quality, and efficiency of daily operations, and supports positive patient outcomes. This primary position at Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware, will include collaboration with the Nemours Children's Health Surgery Centers in Pennsylvania (PA) and New Jersey (NJ) to optimize available resources in achieving positive patient outcomes. This position may require periodic rotation to the ambulatory surgery centers. Travel is compensated based on organizational policy. This position requires current Pennsylvania Clearances to include PA FBI Fingerprint Report, PA Criminal Background Record, and PA Child Abuse Clearance. This position requires working shifts aligned with the needs of the department and the assigned FTE. Responsibilities: • Maintains adequate inventory of all required equipment and supplies in designated areas at established par levels. • Prepares surgical equipment and supplies for daily departmental activities to include logistical and technical support for laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures. • Demonstrates competence regarding the functionality and connectivity of all minimally invasive equipment and video components to include configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining functionality before, during and after surgical procedures to quickly resolve issues. • Demonstrates the ability to interact with physicians and other perioperative team members as requested to ensure all intraoperative preferences are met. • Maintains clean and safe work environment for all healthcare providers in the Surgical Suite. • Maintains equipment records and logs that require documentation as indicated. • Responsible for transporting specimens and lab requests to the appropriate locations. • Responsible for replacement of Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen, and Helium cylinders to their respective equipment/locations. • Demonstrates basic knowledge of aseptic technique principles and Universal Precautions with appropriate use of PPE. • Responsible for stocking warming cabinets for fluids and blankets. • Monitors the Equipment Room to maintain organization and ensure that equipment is returned to their designated area after patient use and appropriate disinfection. • Responsible for retrieving surgical supplies/equipment as requested. • Performs related duties as required.
