Compensation$130K - 170K a year

Lead growth strategy and execution for UK and Canada D2C markets including paid media, affiliate programs, and merchandising. | 4-7 years experience in performance marketing or D2C e-commerce with international exposure and strong strategic and analytical skills. | About Nanit: Nanit is moving families beyond overwhelm by transforming how parents understand their baby's early years. We combine advanced AI, real-world data from billions of sleep hours, and clinical expertise to deliver the clarity and confidence every parent deserves. Trusted by over one million families and backed by $125M in funding, we're building an entirely new category: predictive parenting intelligence. Here, your work directly impacts millions of families. Our team of scientists, engineers, and parents is small but mighty - we share a mission to make early childhood easier, healthier, and more connected. If you want to work on technology that genuinely matters, join us. About the Role: We're looking for a Senior Manager of Growth, International to own the D2C businesses in Canada and the UK. You'll partner closely with the VP of Growth to shape regional strategy, informing where to invest, how to prioritize, and what's working, while also driving the day-to-day management of paid media, affiliate programs, and on-site merchandising for these markets. You'll lean on our US Growth team's deep channel expertise, but this is a role for someone who wants a real seat at the table on strategy, not just a mandate to execute someone else's plan. This role is ideal for someone who's organized, self-sufficient, and comfortable owning a full channel mix and P&L-level thinking remotely. Someone who doesn't need heavy oversight to keep campaigns optimized, sites merchandised, and reporting current, and who brings sharp judgment and a point of view to how these markets should grow. What You'll Do: Strategy & Planning • Partner with the VP of Growth to shape channel strategy, budget allocation, and growth priorities for UK & Canada • Bring market-specific insight and point of view to the table. You're not just implementing a US playbook, you're helping adapt and evolve it for these regions • Identify new growth opportunities and channel tests for both markets, backed by data and regional nuance Performance Marketing • Manage the media agency responsible for building and executing paid social (Meta, TikTok), paid search (Google), and Amazon campaigns for UK & Canada, reviewing plans, briefing priorities, and holding the agency accountable to performance targets • Monitor day-to-day performance and drive optimization decisions (budget pacing, creative rotation, targeting) in partnership with the agency, based on strategy set by the VP of Growth and US Growth team • Own weekly KPI tracking and reporting across all paid channels • Manage the affiliate marketing program end-to-end for both markets, including partner setup and ongoing relationship management Website & Merchandising • Own website marketing and merchandising for the UK and Canada Shopify storefronts • Manage on-site content, promotional setup, and merchandising for evergreen and promotional periods • Partner with the US team on site CRO, A/B testing, and technical improvements, adapting learnings for international markets • Oversee localization needs, including translation processes and region-specific compliance requirements (e.g., MHRA approval/greenlighting for UK) Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner with the VP of Growth on strategic decisions for the region, from budget shifts to new channel bets • Lean on the US Growth team's channel experts (Meta/TikTok, Google, email, Amazon) for platform best practices and troubleshooting • Partner with Brand Marketing & PR to grow awareness in the UK and Canada, supporting regional campaigns and press/media opportunities • Launch and manage influencer strategy for both markets, from partner identification through campaign execution • Coordinate with fulfillment, customer service, and international operations partners as needed to support D2C performance Who You Are: • 4 to 7 years of experience in performance marketing and/or D2C e-commerce, ideally with international or multi-market exposure • A track record of not just executing but shaping strategy. You've owned budget decisions, made channel bets, and been accountable for the results • Experience managing paid campaigns on Meta, Google, and TikTok, either hands-on or through managing an agency partner, with enough platform fluency to brief, question, and hold an agency accountable • Working knowledge of Shopify, including site merchandising and basic content management • Experience managing affiliate marketing programs • Strong organizational skills and a proactive, self-directed working style. You're comfortable owning channels independently and flagging issues before they become problems • Comfort working across time zones with a primarily US-based team • Analytical mindset with the ability to read performance data and act on it, even without a dedicated analytics partner Why You'll Love Working Here: • Be a foundational hire in Nanit's international growth story • High autonomy and ownership over meaningful, revenue-driving channels • Remote work from home month in August • Flexible PTO (we trust you to take the time you need) • Equity options so you can share in our growth • Paid parental leave for all new parents • Employee discounts on Nanit products • Work from home stipend EEO, Salary and Location: This role can be offered as either hybrid or fully remote. For candidates based in North America, we are looking for someone in the Eastern time zone. We are also open to candidates in the greater London area who can work some Eastern time zone hours. Salary Range: United States: $140,000 to $180,000 USD, Canada: approximately $130,000 to $170,000 CAD, United Kingdom: approximately 80,000 to 105,000 GBP The base salary is one component of Nanit's total compensation package, which also includes equity and location specific benefits. Benefits may include healthcare coverage, retirement plans, disability coverage, and life insurance, depending on the country of employment. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's location, experience, skills, and other relevant job related factors. Currency conversions are approximate and may be adjusted based on current exchange rates and local market benchmarks. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Senior Backend Engineer, Growth (US)

NanitNew York, New YorkFull-time
View Job
Compensation$80K - 150K a year

Own full customer funnel backend systems and establish engineering patterns as founding backend engineer for Growth team. | 5+ years backend development with strong software design and distributed systems skills, autonomous work in distributed teams. | Nanit is moving families beyond overwhelm by transforming how parents understand their baby's early years. You'll be the founding backend engineer on a new Growth team - a cross-functional squad owning the full customer funnel, from a parent first considering Nanit through purchase, subscription, engagement, and eventually referring to us or buying again. You'll also be the first R&D engineer based at our US site, hybrid, with your manager and the rest of the team in a different time zone - so you'll need to hold context, make decisions, unblock yourself, and know when a question is worth raising rather than waiting on a sync. Your closest day-to-day partners will be mobile engineers and product managers What You'll Be Doing Own the backend behind growth bets. Build and ship the services powering paywalls, subscription tiering, onboarding journeys, in-app messaging, referral mechanics, trial models, and checkout bundling. Make growth measurable. Build and extend the experimentation and instrumentation layer - feature flags, experiment assignment, event tracking - so every bet the team makes can be evaluated on real data rather than opinion. Work end to end across the funnel. Move between acquisition, activation, and retention work as the roadmap demands, rather than owning a single narrow surface. Partner tightly with mobile and product. Most of what you build is consumed by our iOS and Android apps. You'll design API contracts in conversation with the engineers using them and with the PMs shaping the experiments. Operate with high agency. Take ambiguous problems, decide on an approach, communicate it clearly in writing, and ship. Escalate deliberately, not by default. Set the pattern for US engineering at Nanit. How you work - documentation, async communication, on-call, review habits - becomes the template for everyone who follows. Anchor on-call coverage in your time zone. Be first responder for production alerts during your working hours, extending the backend group toward true follow-the-sun coverage. Triage, mitigate, escalate what you can't, and hand off open threads in writing. Contribute to the backend guild. Help drive best practices, guidelines, and standards across R&D, and keep the US perspective represented in them. Qualifications Professional Experience: 5+ years of backend software development with strong coding skills and solid experience in software design and architecture. Proven Autonomy: Demonstrated success working with significant independence - ideally in a distributed team with limited timezone overlap with your manager or peers. Written Communication: Excellent asynchronous communication. You write clearly enough that decisions and context survive without a meeting. Product Mindset: Comfort with ambiguity and with shipping to learn. You care about the outcome metric, not only the ticket. High-Scale Systems: Experience with critical production systems and techniques like load balancing, caching, and distributed systems. Web Services: Proficiency designing and maintaining APIs consumed by mobile clients (REST, gRPC, WebSocket). Experimentation and Analytics: Hands-on experience with A/B testing infrastructure, feature flags, and event instrumentation (e.g., Unleash, Mixpanel). Testing: Solid experience in testing methodologies and test automation frameworks. Monitoring and Observability: Proficient with tools like Grafana and Prometheus. Delivery Track Record: Proven experience delivering backend projects successfully. Agile Familiarity: Knowledge of Agile methodologies. Containers and Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage. Preferred Skills Experience with consumer subscription products - billing, plan tiering, App Store and Google Play in-app purchases, or Stripe. Prior work on a growth, monetization, or lifecycle team. Ability to independently take a concept from research to production. Enthusiasm for new technologies and willingness to explore them. Commitment to well-crafted and rigorously tested code. Willingness to travel to Tel Aviv for onboarding and periodically thereafter. Why You’ll Love Working Here: Hybrid in-office schedule Remote work from home month in August Flexible PTO (we trust you to take the time you need) Equity options so you can share in our growth Paid parental leave for all new parents Employee discounts on Nanit products Work from home stipend Monthly team events What We Offer We provide an innovative and inclusive work environment, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. We believe in productivity rather than hours on the clock and value collaboration and innovative thinking. We take pride in our customer satisfaction and believe that our success comes from delivering exceptional value to our customers. EEO, Salary and Location: This is a hybrid role that will require prospective candidates to be in our NYC office 2-3 days per week. Salary Range: $180 to $200 base salary + equity and benefits. The base pay is one component of Nanit's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors. We are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. We provide employment opportunities without regard to age, race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other protected class.
