The Role Nabis is seeking an Engineering Lead to guide the technical direction, execution, and growth of our V2 Platform. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers while remaining hands-on in designing and building scalable, secure, and high-impact products. You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders—including Product, Design, Operations, and external partners—to deliver holistic solutions that advance Nabis' mission and support our rapidly growing customer base. This is a fully remote position. The Engineering Lead will steward team performance, elevate engineering standards, and help shape the next generation of Nabis' technology. Responsibilities Technical Leadership • Provide technical direction and architectural guidance across major components of the V2 Platform. • Lead and contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, secure features that support Nabis' growth. • Drive high engineering standards in code quality, testing, documentation, and system reliability. • Ensure the team is aligned on technical decisions, tradeoffs, and long-term platform strategy. Team Leadership & Development • Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers through regular coaching, feedback, and development planning. • Facilitate effective sprint planning, goal-setting, and delivery execution. • Conduct code reviews that emphasize education, maintainability, and best practices. • Guide engineers in breaking down complex technical problems and navigating ambiguity. • Execution & Delivery Ownership • Own the end-to-end execution of projects—from requirements intake to release and post-launch support. • Collaborate closely with Product to scope work, define priorities, and maintain roadmap alignment. • Improve processes that increase engineering velocity, quality, and team communication. • Ensure operational excellence across services, including monitoring, incident response, and long-term resiliency planning. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Act as a key engineering partner to Product, Design, Ops, and external stakeholders. • Translate business needs into technical plans and articulate trade-offs clearly and effectively. • Represent engineering in stakeholder meetings, roadmap discussions, and customer-facing conversations requiring technical insight. Qualifications Required • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. • 8+ years of experience building applications using React, Node.js, NestJS, REST, and PostgreSQL. • 2+ years of experience with Kafka or similar data streaming technologies. • Expertise in service-based/microservice architectures using Docker and Kubernetes; experience with AWS preferred. • Demonstrated experience leading engineers—formally or informally—through mentorship, project direction, or team oversight. • Strong technical judgment, a high-ownership mindset, and the ability to guide teams through complex problem-solving. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional partners. Preferred • Prior experience as a tech lead, team lead, or engineering manager. • Experience scaling distributed systems or building high-availability platforms. The Role Nabis is seeking a reliable and motivated Operations Manager to support our upstate New York warehouse. This individual will be highly organized, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and be motivated to take ownership of their site’s accuracy and efficiency. This role is full-time and may at times include demanding hours. This position requires prior supervisor or manager-level experience in warehouse and/or distribution logistics. The Operation Manager will report to the New York Director of Operations and will be responsible for maintaining a complete understanding of Nabis’s central warehouse processes and the nuances of enterprise client relationships. The Shift Manager will organize, oversee, and strategize the daily site operations while working closely with other Nabis hubs. They will work cross-functionally to support the streamlining of all new & existing processes. About the Role The AR Manager will oversee operations across both California and New York, working closely with the Senior AR Manager. This is a hybrid role that will directly assist the senior manager, while also learning both state operations in depth. The ideal candidate will be heavily involved in escalations, data report generation, retailer escalations, and solving high-level discrepancies. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication, customer relationship, and technical skills who can operate under pressure, adapt quickly to changing policies, and create scalable solutions that work best for all parties — brands, retailers, and distribution — while keeping the company's best interests paramount. Once the AR Manager has built a strong understanding of both New York and California operations, they will step in to assist the Senior Manager as needed, depending on the demand of the business. Responsibilities • AR Operations Oversight • Manage day-to-day AR operations, ensuring timely collections and retailer account management. • Oversee enterprise retailers with large balances; proactively manage relationships and advise next steps (restrictions, escalations, or senior management advisement). • Maintain visibility into escalated accounts, unresolved disputes, and applied/unapplied payments. • Support both California and New York operations as directed. • CRM Management (Zendesk or similar) • Oversee CRM workflows for AR, including ticket management and customer inquiries. • Ensure all open tickets are closed out by the end of each day. • Team Leadership • Directly manage a team of 10+ off-shore associates, including two team leads. • Conduct regular one-on-ones, coaching sessions, and performance reviews. • Drive continuous improvement and development for AR associates. • Oversee specialized workflows and distribute workload evenly. • Specialized workflows include Payment discrepancies, Write-offs, and Phone audits for quality assurance. • Dispute Resolution & Customer Relationships • Resolve escalated disputes (short payments, returned checks/ACHs, payment allocation issues). • Build trust-based relationships with enterprise retailers while protecting business interests. • Make balanced decisions that drive the best outcomes for Nabis, brands, and retailers. • SOP Creation, Maintenance & Enforcement • Create, maintain, and enforce AR standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Adapt quickly to frequent policy and process changes within Nabis. • Recommend scalable, pressure-tested solutions that are practical for brands, retailers, and distribution, while prioritizing company interests. • Reporting & Communication • Provide clear, detailed updates on account statuses, escalations, and team performance. • Generate and maintain reports that support escalations and leadership decision-making. • Maintain high standards of communication across Slack, email, CRM, and internal reporting tools. • Report directly to the Senior AR Manager overseeing California and New York operations, providing assistance as needed depending on the demand of the business. • Other duties as assigned Requirements • 5+ years management experience in AR/finance operations or a predominantly customer-facing communications role. • Managing an off-shore team is a plus. • Bachelor's degree preferred for 4+ years in relevant work experience. • Proven experience managing 10+ team members, including leads. • CRM expertise (Zendesk or similar) — 5+ years. • Excel proficiency — 3+ years. • Slack experience and its features such as workflows and lists are a plus. • G Suite required; SQL, Tableau, or Retool is a plus. • Strong dispute resolution and conflict management skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication with detailed note-taking. • Familiarity with California cannabis compliance (e.g., METRC) is a plus. • WMS experience is helpful but not required. • customer-facing.
