Mentor high school students remotely by guiding their academic progress, maintaining communication, and supporting their learning goals. | Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field, preferred valid teaching certificate, experience in virtual teaching or mentoring, and strong communication skills. | 🎓High School Mentor Teacher (Remote) 📍 Anywhere in the U.S. (excluding Pacific Time Zone) | 💻 Fully Remote | 💰 Starting at $19.14/hr (W-2) Note: At this time, we are not accepting applicants located in the Pacific Time Zone. ✨ Be the Reason a Student Graduates At My Virtual Academy, we’re looking for a High School Guide to help students take control of their learning and stay on the path to graduation — all online. 🏫 About Us Since 1991, we’ve empowered students across Michigan to earn their diplomas through personalized virtual learning. Our team supports each student holistically with flexibility, tools, and mentorship. 🎯 What You'll Do • Maintain weekly communication with each assigned student • Guide students through progress in Edmentum and troubleshoot tech issues • Document all contacts and notes in the Genius system • Communicate weekly with parents of minors • Set academic goals with students and celebrate their wins • Join staff meetings, PD, and 1:1s with the lead teacher. ✅ Who You Are • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field • Valid teaching certificate in your state (preferred) • Experience in virtual teaching or mentoring • Friendly, organized, tech-savvy, and proactive communicator 📈 What Success Looks Like • High student engagement and goal completion • Active participation in meetings and trainings 💻 Remote Work Setup We’ll send you a laptop and monitor.
