Leading HR functions for a practice group, managing employee relations, and developing strategic staffing and engagement initiatives. | 7+ years of HR leadership experience, preferably in a professional services or law firm environment, with strong communication and organizational skills. | About the position Responsibilities • Functions as the primary liaison between the practice group leadership, attorneys and staff and other members of the HR team. • Ensures HR services are provided as appropriate, identifies new opportunities where HR can add value, and maintains advanced knowledge of HR issues. • Sets long and short-term goals for HR function; participates in firm-wide practice group strategic planning and initiatives. • Provides coaching, consultation and support that contributes to the needs and business direction of the practice group(s). • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. • Collaborates with practice group leadership on new hire integration efforts, develop strategic staffing plans that effectively optimize talent, address performance gaps and develop performance and culture. • Focuses on employee engagement and retention strategies to help retain key staff by identifying trends, providing recommendations and implementing new initiatives. • Manages departure process for departing employees, conducts exit interviews and analyzes departure trends. • Effectively applies performance management to ensure that employees’ level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards. • Advises all levels of management in the areas of personnel policies, performance management, and problem resolution. • Investigates complaints, makes recommendations and implements corrective action. • Conducts disciplinary and/or termination meetings as needed. • Manages the 45-day check-in, annual and/or mid-year performance review process for assigned practice group(s) by participating in meetings, reviewing evaluations, and working with leadership on compensation, adjustments, and performance issues. • Liaises with other HRBPs and Centers of Excellence including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards, Compliance, HR Operations, and Compensation to provide support as needed in areas such as performance, leaves, benefits, employee relations, and recruiting. • Collaborates with the Centers of Excellence to manage specific HR projects as well as participating in functional and cross-functional initiatives. • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and government regulations related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. • Partners with Employment Counsel as needed/required. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in a related field, combined with a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible human resources leadership experience, preferably with at least five (5) years in a medium to large sized organization, law firm and/or professional services environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. • Excellent written and oral communications skills. • Confident manner and the ability to establish credibility quickly. • Ability to work comfortably in a matrix organization.

The Business Operations Analyst/Senior Analyst (Rate Management & New Business Intake) will play a key role in supporting the Firm’s rate management, billing administration, and new business intake (NBI) functions. This position ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across client onboarding, pricing, and rate administration processes, working closely with attorneys, partners, and administrative teams to support the Firm’s financial and operational goals. This position will reside in our Philadelphia office with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Key Responsibilities: • Execute and optimize the NBI process, including accurate client/matter setup in Elite 3E, ensuring fee arrangements, billing instructions, and pricing nomenclature are correctly applied. • Set up and maintain billing rates (timekeeper, client, and matter-specific) in Elite 3E, including exceptions, AFAs, and client pricing comments. • Monitor and update arrangements for associate matriculation, promotions, and other rate adjustments to ensure timely compliance. • Ensure billing instructions, task codes, pricing notes and related data are accurately captured and standardized across systems. • Analyze client pricing arrangements to confirm correct system setup and efficient execution. • Partner with attorneys, partners, and Finance/Operations teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure seamless onboarding of clients and matters. • Assess and audit the Firm’s NBI and Rate Management workflow, reviewing client/matter submissions for accuracy, policy compliance, and alignment with Standard Terms of Engagement. • Administer the Annual Rate Survey (ARS) process, ensuring accurate setup, monitoring, and reporting of firmwide rates in coordination with Finance and leadership. • Oversee data governance and operational accuracy across NBI and Rate Management processes, ensuring alignment with firm policies and pricing structures. Auxiliary Responsibilities: • Assist with system enhancements and testing (e.g., Elegrity, Workday, Elite 3E), providing feedback and troubleshooting support. • Create reports and analyses (Qlik, Excel, etc.) to support leadership, identify trends, and track compliance with client arrangements. • Support special projects and strategic initiatives, including but limited to pricing/rate reviews, revenue leakage audits, and process improvement efforts. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Business Development, Finance, HR etc.) to align operational processes with firmwide goals. • Build and maintain models, dashboards, and reporting tools to streamline internal workflows and enhance visibility into performance, matter budgets, and rate structures. • Provide ad hoc support to attorneys and leadership, including reporting on deal rates, budgets, and proforma billings.
