Who you are We are looking for a Senior Web Engineer to join our Customer Experience application development team and contribute to the next step function growth phase. What you'll do • Design, implement, and maintain the frontend systems that make up the Metropolis parking and mobility platform. • Collaborate with product managers and designers to model and understand real world problems in our UX. • Be a key part of the entire development lifecycle, including ideation and identifying requirements. • Moderate technical discussions, evaluate new techniques, and ensure our platform is constantly evolving and improving. • Leverage best practices in automation testing and deployment to enable rapid iteration and launch of new features. • Help build a culture where bugs and mistakes in production are treated as opportunities to improve the platform. • Mentor junior engineers ensuring appropriate use of UI frameworks and component libraries. What we're looking for • MS or BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Strong fundamental computer science skills. • 6+ years of software engineering experience. Advanced level knowledge of React and Typescript. • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale software products in high volume consumer facing applications. • Experience with consuming and interacting with RESTful APIs and gRPC frameworks. • Deep understanding of Agile engineering processes that support the entire software development life cycle, including TDD/BDD, CI/CD and related build/test/deploy processes. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences. • Local to Santa Monica (Los Angeles), New York City, or Seattle areas. The anticipated base salary for this position is $130,000.00 USD to $200,000.00 USD annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure our projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality. This position requires someone who can seamlessly manage shifting priorities, anticipate potential issues, and navigate complex dependencies to ensure every deployment is a success. Responsibilities • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including implementation plans, design documents, budgets, and status reports. • Oversee and manage the change control process to ensure all project scopes remain aligned with business and client goals. • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all project-related needs. • Proactively identify potential project issues and risks, then develop and execute strategic contingency plans to keep things on track. • Manage the planning, scheduling, and tracking of inventory delivery to ensure all necessary components arrive at customer sites on time. • Coordinate on-site third-party resources and installers, ensuring they have the tools and information they need to succeed. • Conduct regular status calls and provide clear, concise project updates to all internal and external stakeholders.
